Count me in, folks. Coming up on the 20th and leaving Sunday. I plan to take in the mysterious wall and visit New Echota and maybe see a little bit of a bike race. I have an ice cream churn and can provide strawberry, peach, or some really dangerous pecan praline.

The vistas from the top of the mountain where the old wall remnants are....look fabulous. This land was owned by one of the Coca Cola magnates, and there is a tower up there also left from their day.
We hiked the trail up there to the top last time, the sign said it was shorter than it seemed, ended up about 3-4 miles uphill, worth it but ...whew!

Is someone getting there early to place lawn chairs on enough sights together? We have our confirmation back from the Georgia State DNR. I would think that as long as a reservation is made and confirmed a piece of camping equipment should be enough to save a spot.

When you check in you are given a ticket that has your name and check-out date on it. You clip this to a pole located at the site you choose.

Ben, I should be there about the same time. I guess we just need to look for Kathy's trailer which should be on or near site #50.

We hope to make it to Kentucky the first night, that is if we get through Chicago in decent time. We have spent up to five hours traveling through Chicago! Then from somewhere in Northern Kentucky to the park on Friday. I imagine 75 is my best bet. Keep the lights on we will be there.

It will be later that afternoon before I get there with the trailer, probably around 6:30. I'll try to get Netta to get there earlier. Just look for the cajun tornado around site 50! You will know when you see her!

This is such a good incentive to keep working and get this blasted dashboard project completed. I can hardly wait to get moving South. Today we are getting snow and snow and snow. I will have to shovel my way out to Chummy and run the furnace all day long!

Here's some added incentive.
It's starting to warm up down here. 80's are expected by Wednesday.
Just keep the Spring Fling in mind when the going gets tough, Chaplain!
See you soon!

New Member to attend at Fort Mountain.
Greetings all,
I've just made reservations at Ft. Mountain for the Rally.
We have recently purchased a 2005 22' Safari and a 2006 F-250 Diesel crew cab to tow it with. Looking forward to meeting all and seeing what improvements others have made to their rigs.
About 10 years ago the wife and I took off in a 40' American Eagle bus and full timed for 2.5 years. This is our first venture into a travel trailer and I'm looking forward to it.
Interests are Large Format Photography and high end audio systems. Hiking is of course part of the photography passion.
See you at Fort Mountain,
Jack and Patty Brady.

I'm leaving Thursday afternoon for a scouting trip for the opening of turkey season this coming Saturday. The next few weekends will stretch the bones (torsion bars) of the trailer and get that spring lived in feeling. I can't wait for the April rally. I'm ready to party! Conservatively of course.
