That's why it's good to arrive right at check-in time!
(Which is 1:00 pm for this park.)
You know, first come-first served.
We'll just have to look for one another.

Yes it is a super nice park, just hope we all end up in the same area. Its not too big, but I need to have the space next to Kathy's...you know where the party action is!! Hopefully my other half will make this one.

Is anyone thinking about showing up sometime Thursday or earlier? I've thought about leaving Thursday morning rather than waiting for Friday. That would give me a little extra time to relax.

Wink Posey and I went to Fort Mtn today. Found our spot.

Posey and I went to Fort Mtn. today. Found our spot in campground 2 - #50 - the lake on one side the bath house (super clean) on the other!!! That's considered cajun heaven where I come from!
All of the 50's are on the lake. We're bringing the canoes.
If you are not looking to be on the water - in campground 1 - either 9 or 13 are my favorites there.
I told Posey that Tom and I will take the camper with her on the Thursday prior and I'll stay with it til they all get there.
That's how pretty #50 is.
Good seafood gumbo to anyone who doesn't take our spot 'fore we get there!
Lookin forward to it - again!

NanaNetta,
It will be good to see you, Tom and Kathy again. Wish TNSue (TrvlnSue) could make it but such will not be the case. I'm looking forward to that fantastic cajun seafood gumbo. Is Ruth going to be there too? Craig

What snow? We don't get snow here!

Like Netta said, we plan to take the trailer on Thursday afternoon. The campground was very nice and most of the sites are big. Lots of hiking trails too!

And, yes, Craig, Ruth will be there!

unfortunatley for us, we have to wait until after school Friday to head out. Its an hour drive but Friday traffic can be a killer. I hope to be there by 6-6:30 or so.

Alan, Renetta wanted me to ask you if you want to reserve for Thursday night and she will put stuff in your campsite until you get there on Friday.

OK, plan to keep the entertainment clean a chaplain is coming. I made the reservation today! The last time I got involved in a southern event was a father/son canoe float down a river in the Ozarks.
The first night we had this giant campfire and a jug was passed around. Each guy took a swallow. When it got to me I wanted to act the part so took a swallow as well. After which my son picked me up off the ground and propped me against a log for the remainder of the campfire. When I regained some sense of consciousness I remarked about the possibility of the sheriff finding us with that jug. The entire crowd at the campfire roared with laughter as the sheriff introduced himself as the one who brought the jug. I still remain the simple boy from the streets of the inner city of the town of Chicago.
My wife and I are really looking forward to getting out of Wisconsin early in April and down to Georgia. My son has travelled this area extensively and highly recommended it. I am also eager to put a face to all the names I have read. Someone save us a spot with a little shade, the lady on the reservation line said it was first come first get.
