Hey, I actually don't have to work that weekend! Susan has threatened that we WILL go camping in the trailer this summer, all I have to do is get the belly pan put back on, put the inner skins back in, the ...........

So Alan, how is the drive to Chatuge? The roads aren't too tough are they? We much prefer the mountains, but that's just us.

Jim

I go 575 all the way to Blue Ridge ( it changes numbers a few times) and it is an easy ....flat most of the way.... drive. You can also go 75 North and cut over thru Calhoun to 5/575, or further North as well like in Dalton. The drive is nice but the further North you cut over the more mountain driving you will do.
If we do McKinney its surprisingly nice considering how close to the metro area it is.

We'll be there with bells on! Had a wonderful time this past weekend at Ft. Mountain with everyone. Came back to school and haven't stopped running yet. Wish we were back on the mountain! I'll get pictures loaded soon!

We can not seem to get out of Georgia. Maybe we will still be wandering the state in October.

The wife says Georgia is a go.

Just got back from Disney, our first trip. My wife loved it and camping out in the Caravel was a treat. That said, my wife says to look for another trip and this Georgia Fall get-together is a sure thing for us. Keep me posted.

we voted amongst those at the Spring thing to pick a date, its always hard to hit one that works for everyone.
Kent was voting for Wisconsin, but we couldn't call it a Georgia Rally then.

I don't know if we should be allowed to vote or not as it is unclear as to whether we'll have the Sovereign road worthy by October, but we really enjoyed Georgia Mountain Fair campground. I might even consider bringing the boat if the weather is good.

Mitch, do you mean that you want to hook up and go to the ralley in the fall? If so, it's just an informal group that gets together in the spring and fall. We haven't been to one yet (the camper is still being rebuilt), but from what I've read here on the forums, these folks have a lot of fun at these get-togethers. Just keep watching this thread and you'll get most of the info you need.

This would have been the ideal way to cap off the summer camping season. however, I have accepted a post as a camp host in Wisconsin for October. We would have loved starting off in April with you wonderful people and ending in October with same but not this year.
October 21 is my birthday so treat the day with respect and reverence.
