Georgia leaf

I was unable to pull up the website from the link. Where is the campground. We are in Greensboro, N.C. We have just bought our first AS and are having some refurbishing done. We hope to have it ready in a month to take her out. We want to join some experienced Airstreamers initially to increase our "learning curve".

Try it now, this is what I used.

Welcome to the rally - post your campsite number when you do sign up. I will be updating the map soon.

I'll be in #46, next to clancy boy I believe. Yes, I'm looking forward to checking out another TW as well. Like ALANSD pointed out, it looks like were close to becoming a vintage rally, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the newer Airstreams too. You just can't go wrong with an Airstream . . . . may fall into a money pit, but you can't go wrong!

Was looking like we would be out away from it all, with the concentration of AS's on the point. I asked the camp ground attendant when I called and she said all the campsites were great lake views on that side. Going to be a great cross section of years and sizes for this rally.

I have NO problem camping next to a Mississippi Kiln-billy as long as you don't mind a muleheaded Tennessean! If you still have your window AC (http://www.airforums.com/forum...42-post14.html), you'll especially feel right at home next to my little 'ole installation.

Hopefully I won't need the AC this time of year. It's staying home. I'm a transplant to the "KILL" as the town of Kiln is pronounced in these parts. I was born in Tennessee.

Greetings! I don't know if Lynnie and I can make it--my work is keeping me away from home a lot these days. I will if I can. I spoke with Josephhh and he is hosting a bluegrass concert featuring the Biscuit Burners at the Douglass Theater in Macon GA that weekend, so he will be unable to make it. As my Oct schedule shapes up, I still have that weekend blocked off.

Thanks Kathy and Alan for thinking of us.

I'm finding out that even a new Airstream can feel like a money pit!

Cool, and Mississippi is fine too. I've had some good friends from Mississippi. And I hope the same about the AC. Fortunately yours was a temporary fix. I'm stuck with mine. Unless someone out there has an original front window from a "60 TW for sale.

Didn't Wally Byam say something like "talk is cheap, Airstreams aren't"? Yeah, he knew!

For those who haven't been to the Georgia Mountain Fair, here is a shot from a trip I made there several weeks ago. Granted, I was camped on the other side of the street from where we will be (sites there are a little larger), but it was very nice. October should be great!

... all right, this was a great idea, but I can't get the picture to fit. Imagine a bucolic setting, AS in the foreground, beautiful Lake Chatuge behind... imagine you there. We'll try this again some other time.
