My map is for the states that I stay in with the Caravel. My wife and I have been campers for a long time and if I was to guess I would say we have been to about 20 states. Just thought I would start fresh and keep up with our AS travels.

BTW - the lodge at Unicoi is great for Thanksgiving. They put on a feast and have a wonderful lodge feeding hall - I would recommend it for a holiday retreat.

i'm looking forward to seeing your caravel at the rally! in addition to my '64 Trade Wind, i have 2 friends bringing a '64 overlander and a '66 globe trotter. it's amazing how different all 3 of these trailers are. none of us have the same types of windows.

we'll most likely be bringing a couple of vintage aluminum boats as well.

I had a few days vacation and so took off sans wife and kids and grabbed a few days solo travel. In part curiosity, I went up and stayed for two days at the GA Mountain Campground! I think we are going to have a great time when we get there in October.

Because we have a 34', I checked out the sites and actually moved our site to #71 for our fall get-together. It looks like sites in the 80's are ground zero for our activities. Sites in the 60's and 70's are generally good and close - not on the water, but kind of up above the 80's - but close. 40's and 50's are right on the water - very nice.

My wife would kill me if I went off and played golf during our outing, but for those who enjoy the sport there is a great 18 hole course at the Brasstown Valley Resort. A little expensive, but very nice! Just so you know.

I went kayaking a couple of times while I was there. While it was a wee bit warm, we will have some great kayaking/conoeing for those interested!

Now this is going to be interesting! It reminds me when I yelled for my sister during Christmas a few years back, "Pat!" Four people in the room yelled back "What?" since 3 others had that first name also.

Hi, Just called and got #56, they said they still have some sights, I wanted get closer to the group, but we will be in our 5th wheel as we will be on our way to FL for the winter, that was the only sight left that has enough room for slide outs. We will arrive the 16th and leave the 23rd. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Site List

Has someone compiled a site list of where everyone is located in the campground? It's still a little early but this would give some indication for late arrivals of what's available whne they call the camp ground. Just a thought, I could do it if ya'll send me a PM of where all of you are at.

I'm excited to meet all ya'll - this will be my first rally. We are ready for this as I will just be getting home. I will need a vacation!

Safe travels, Mike

Thanks for doing that...this park is easy to see across, so the aluminum will be not hard to spot. Maybe more will sign up and fill in the blanks, so we don't have too much white fiberglass to stare at.
Last time we were there, the ampitheatre had a big gospel country concert on Saturday. Maybe we will luck out and have some background music again. Beside mine and others that is. The old Takamine is ready for the woods.

Our site is booked!

We reserved site 86. We have a small Bambi, so I'm guessing that we can fit into that site. I just hope it isn't too hard to back into - we're still beginners at backing the Bambi. I guess my husband can look forward to some practice OR I'll have the bite the bullet and try my hand at backing the darn thing

Looking forward to meeting everyone! See y'all in a few weeks.

Getting better all the time......

I can't wait, lots of folks signing up. It will be good to have faces with names (aliases). In prep I painted the new rims yesterday and the steps. Can't have the rats nest looking too bad or we won't get invited back.

Has any of our bunch got sites 50-52 facing the lake? When I reserved two weeks ago I was told those were already full.
