Already marking the calendar for the spring fling. Thanks Alan for organizing these events.

I just love those Feather Craft Boats. I would like to get one of those in the future. Are there any other aluminum boats that are cool like those? Just what I need, another hobby!

I have attached a few more pics:

Have fun at Disney World!
I have marked my calendar and those dates look good so far. Our next camping trip to Disney is in February during President's Week. We'll also be going to Disney for Spring Break during the first week of April, but we won't be taking the "Changes" with us on that trip. So the weekend of 4/20-22 looks good for us. Can't wait!

Hey Nazz:

Grumman canoes are all aluminium and are a great piece of American history like Airstreams. http://www.marathonboat.com/. I would have bought one but opted for an Old Town because aluminium canoes are noisy in the water and scare fish. The dealer in TN is up by us in Nashville and if he has any left over, he will give you a good price because his season is winding down.

They made some RV's as well, I believe mostly in the 60's. Their airplane plant on LI was a great place to visit as a kid up there.

If one were looking to buy a Feather Craft, is there a more desirable model or one that a person should avoid? Or is it just personal preference?

My head is spinning with the Vagabond, Clipper, Islander Express, Hawk II, Rocket, Ranger, Runabout, etc.

So many Feather Crafts............. So little time!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mario for the info. Nice canoes but I'm not sure if I want a canoe.
It has it's advantages over a power boat but, I like that vintage look.

I don't blame you. We like paddling (after all, I could use a little exercise) and fly fishing so canoes work for us. Besides, I have enough toys to keep me occupied.

Ah yes, toys........... Where would we be without our toys?

Would an espresso machine be considered a toy?

No...The espresso machine is a "tool". And everyone knows that tools are a necessity. They are classified as a tool because coffee has been classified as a "food group" which allows humans to function properly.

Oh yes, I depend on that "food group" for survivial.

BTW, thanks everyone for the concern and condolences on the jack. With some help from Kathy (God love her, she is a 10! ) and the obligatory cash outlay associated with all things Airstream, everything will be OK. Minnie's Mate, I know you can empathize with the jack situation and I'm thankful for you that nothing worse happened and you made it to Ft. Wilderness.
I loved the cool pics of reflections in the Tradewind. Alan, I hope you're able to retrieve the pic you took Saturday. April 20-22 is blocked off on the calendar, and maybe I'll be able to show up a few days early this time.
