And they all had a real good time!

What a great time we had meeting new friends and seeing beautiful Airsteams both vintage and new. It was a gorgeous weekend with the leaves changing and the waterfront sites. NICE!

Congrats to Sugarfoot on her Fan Favorite AS and 1st prize! Thanks to ColdEspresso for the delicious HOT Espresso. Haven't had espresso like that in 5 years, not since I left SOFLA! Hey Mario, who's better than you? It's good to know that I'm not the only Italian in Middle TN. I will put the Rancilio on my Christmas wishlist and hopefully Santa will come through!

Food was fabulous and we're looking forward to the next rally down the pike. I have attached a few shots I took from this past weekend.

I second that, the best expresso and cappuccino I've EVER had. And Nazz, you need to market the fruit of your vineyard! Monteagle has (had?) a winery, so why not Decherd?

I'm loving everyone's pics.

A Big Thank You....

Hey Ya'll,

Tina and I just got home tonight (Monday) - we spent an extra day exploring the area more.

Everyone - this was a great first rally for us and we would like to thank all of you for the fun times and great memories. I hope we all cross paths again in the future. I will post my pics tomarrow as I am about to pass out from the drive. Work tomarrow.

The boats, expresso, food, music, kids, people, campers, camp ground, weather, EVERYTHING was GREAT. Sorry I won't make the spring fling but hope to repeat visit in the fall. If you pass the MS coast give us a call, we're minutes from I10.

BTW, the campground was a GHOST TOWN last night - with only Levon picking up has last camper - even the long term folks were gone. QUIET........

Howdy, Kathy. I agree that the photos are great!

I left my metal folding table there Fri and Sat eve, and forgot Sun morn. If you can store it for me, I will probably see you at the next rally, or PM me for other ideas.

Thanks to all who made and shared the food and drinks. My wife, the dogs and I had fun, and are looking forward to another get-together.

Thanks

Hey thanks Spartan,I to had a great time with everyone there.I hope to see you there again next year.As of right now we are still camping in our Airstream. It is really cold here tonight and it is supposed to be in the low 30's.I just ran one of the propane bottles completly dry and are now just using the second one.I think it should last the night really easily.Plus we have an extra heater in here also so all is well.Tomorrow I am refilling the other tank as it is supposed to be cold the next couple of nights then back to sunny florida we go.It is in the mid 70's and will feel so good when we get back.I am glad everyone made it home safely.See you all next year.

Congrats to all of you at the Georgia rally. What a beautiful area, fall colors, water, Airstreams, boats, Guitars, etc.
Great photography, I'm impressed. Sounds like all had a great time.

The Best

From an old duffer, this rally was one of the best I have attended in some 40 years of RV life. A special comment concerning the many children and pets - all well behaved, happy, and a real treat to watch. This was a gathering of real quality people.

Hoping everyone gets home safe, and I'll see ya'll in the Spring.
Sorry to hear about your jack problems. I kind of had a similar situation in JC this summer. I bent my jack post in the out position and had to have it replaced.

I had a bit or your luck, too, this week end. When we arrived at Ft. Wilderness I could hear the sound of chains dragging when we pulled away from the check-in. When I backed into the camp site and went to un-hitch, after towing more than 400 miles, I found this had happened at some point along the way:

Broke both safety chains. As you can tell from the photo I inadvertantly connected the chains after I installed the spring bars and apparently on the outside of them. I guess a sharp turn in each direction caused them to break?

Glad everyone had a great time and hoping to make the spring ralley...when is it and where?

At least you made it to Ft. Wilderness and everyone is safe. Hope the rest of your week goes well. The next North Georgia rally will be April 20-22 at Georgia Mtn Fairgrounds. We will meet on the other side next time. I think that is area A, but not sure. They have wifi and cable on that side. The campground will start making reservations in January. Hope to see you there!

Have fun at Disney World!
