I can tell you it is very cool, and you will all be welcomed.

On another note, I have a rack on my TV and will haul a bunch of firewood for a community fire - if they are allowed (do not recall).

did anyone ever say what the plan is for saturday nite? i heard rumors of a dinner thing. just want to know what to tell the misses. she hates it when i leave her unprepared. i think david's bringing a projector, screen and the movie "RV" to watch outdoors one of those nites. we'll call it a "tow-in" movie...

jp

ps. i like your plan, alan... personally, i crack my first beer once the jacks are down. ha!

Saturday we have a free-for-all dinner thing around 6 or so.. Everyone brings something and we lay it all out. Often folks grill their own main course, and use the shared dishes as sides. with no real plan it all comes together.
Followed by campfire, music, chat, etc.

The only other semi-planned event is breakfast Saturday or Sunday or both ...just a meet and get to know each other with coffee in hand. And we try to do a walk through or peek in of some of each others airstreams, for those who want to participate.
Everything else is spontaneous. Airstream knowledge shared...some problem fixes suggested...I learned riveting, vulkem sealing, air bag inflation ( motorhome) and other good stuff at my first one 5 yrs ago.
and how to make a mean peach cobbler.

Cool

Well, we are new to the AS way of camping and owning our own first rig but not new to camping. Been doing it before I can even remember being little kid, if you know what I mean. So, we are jumping in both feet. Checked with the wife and we will be there, were at #63. This is perfect for us due to our three dogs they’re small don't worry. But we look forward to joining your group. Looks like we will be in Friday maybe a little late and staying till Monday am. Look forward to meeting all of you.

Fires are allowed in the fire rings (except for one area across the street - not relevant to us). I have several cords of seasoned hardwood in our yard, so I will plan on bringing sufficent wood for at least one fire for both Friday and Saturday night.

I think this is a tremendous idea. I am about ready to peal off my WBCCI numbers and put the AIR numbers on. All I need is numbers.

I get a huge amount of value out of this forum, and no value out of WBCCI. Now that may be my fault, but it is what it is.

i hear ya! we haven't joined the WBCCI for the same reasons. plus the more i read about it, the more political it seems. forums seem more tuned to a hobby to me, at least.

blue numbers it is!

Howdy all. Sue and I are registered in space #40 for Friday and Saturday, leaving Sunday.

I may have to work one of those days, but since I work in Blue Ridge, it would be only about an hour (or less) drive.

See you then!

Phil

Would we use our real names or just the AIRSTREAM FORUMS names????

This could get real confusing..............

I'll just stick with everyone waving and that will be that, I not good with names.

Hey, do we get Berets?????
