hello happy campers......

i like cooperhawks idea in post 17.......

so much so that i 2nded it in post 9........

"and here is what i would like to do.......ultimately......

stage 3 regional......events......each 3-4 days.......and 3-4 days apart.......

then some of us could start at the first, travel to the 2nd, continue to the third.........wow what fun.
3 rallies, 3 caraVans, 9x as much fun........i'm in.......... are you?

i will supply the beer...........
cups"

so how about top or georgia/east tennessee, followed by minnesota/wisconsin and then the 4 corners region....as a 3 some?....we don't need no stinkin' coasts.....

of course one of the significant issues is picking a time/season.....

but if this were a late summer or early fall event....mid land weather is greatly improved....less humid; fewer bugs; less wind, dry...and so on

i don't think it need be near a coast or big population center.......
been there done that.....and who needs a large water mass....

are we gonna float the airstreams?

or of the reasons sturgis is so cool.......it that it is in sturgis right?

there are some fine state parks in upper missouri, kansas....
that could handle a crowd...because they don't get crowds......
i've got great spots is north eastern ks or west central...and mid mo...

and there is an airstream park in oklahoma....that would be fun....

i would not suggest trying to get near branson........
way to many people....and campgrounds are really not that nice....
unless you are lookin' for gamblin or tired country singers.....

if going all the way to the ozarks.....north east arkansas would be much much finer.....as in petit jean state park....or other wooded parks...

i think we need to have a national pre rally, rally to discuss the first official rally....

the pre rally, rally should be this year......this fall.....with highly collectible tee shirts.....

this will become known as the "original airheads rally"

cheers
2air'

I think it would be a ball.
Maybe instead of berets we could wear Vulcan EARS.

I was wondering if anyone looked at the forums map? Besides the obvious center of the states perhaps it might be worth while to center the forum users on the members map.
