Forum Rally Info

Greetings- I am currently working on an Article on Rallies and am looking for someone who has hosted a FORUMS rally who would be interested in being interviewed. Also looking for a few good photos in resolution which could be used with permission, credited with no compensation. The rally should have more than 15 units, some type of structure and possibly a few funny moments for something interesting that our readers would enjoy.

Hi Rick,

Titu & Gail held a forums rally last September in RI at Fishermans State Park in RI. My memory is they had over 30 rigs in attendance. We borrowed the NEU tent for the event, had some structure (breakfast and happy hours, pot luck dinner). It was a fantastic rally, beautiful weather, lots of new faces and lots of fun too.

I started an annual rally here in the Metro-Detroit area.
I now host it, with the help of several others, every year in August.
The first year, 2005, we had 16 units.
Last year we had 24 units.
This year looks like we will top 30+ units.
We have an open house, potluck dinner, raffle, auction and some other planned events.
I am sure that Carol, (aka wheel interested) would have tons of pictures from the past two rallies. Plus, all of the attendees could give you quite a run-down on what happened last year and the year before.
It is a pretty unique rally as most of the attendees will attest. We have actually named our little group. It is a combination of a play on the WBCCI and my name. It is known as the "LPPI" which loosely translates to "Lou Patterson's Party International". I concocted the "International" part because we have a few Canadians that come to the rallies, all the way from east of Toronto!

As charter members of the Metro-Detroit (LPPI) Rally, we can attest to the fun at this rally. "Lou's Crew" has a blast. We are looking forward to Aug. and we know that this rally has already taken on a "life of its own". If you want a good story you need to get to this one!!

We would LOVE to attend but with Region 1 in Vermont starting on the 7th we wouldn't be able to do both! Perhaps next year! PM me and perhaps we can do a phone interview. Any great photos from last year?

Carol is the gal with all the info and the great photos from the last rally. Lou Patterson is the one with the "gift" of getting all of us pepped up and having a great time.

Not to mention that she created, organized, and made possible the rivette summer solstice rally. Carol would be great as she is both a great photographer and writer whose work appears in Airstream Life magazine! Not to mention that she can tow it!!

This year was our 5th year for the Moraine View rally. Here is a link for pictures. I haven't posted this years pictures yet. Also note in the 2006 folder I have a copy of the flyer that we distributed to all attendees. We did one this year but again I have to get that up in the pictures site.
