I'll do the ice cream

Okay, folks, I won't subject you to my ugly, delicious bannana pudding, but I will commit to providing the ice cream.

Well, I reserved a spot for 3 nights, though it's a few spots away from you guys. I wanted a place on the water. Plus, on Saturday night I couldn't get that spot so who knows where I'll have to pull the rig to that night.

And it would be just me & Osita.

Great. What site number do you have?
If Osita is a dog, there is a paws playground at the park, also. We have suddenly inherited (temporarily I hope) Cookie's brother, he will be joining us for the rally.

WBCCI unit #174 is the unit we belong to. They have get-togethers almost throughout the year.
It is too bad you won't be able to make it, it should be a lot of fun, one way or another.

14 days and counting!

Just a quick bump for the thread, it is only two weeks until the rally! I hope you all can still make it!

This is really starting to sound like loads of fun. Too far on the other side of the mainland to make it. I should have left yesterday if I was going to attend. Hope you all have a great time.

The local North AL newspapers have been running stories about some branch of the Government filling all the State Parks with travel trailers for displaced New Orleans residents. I believe Desoto is a county park. But does anyone know if our forum rally reservations have now been superseded by this now more urgent need for the hurricane victims?

I went to the official Florida State Parks website, and all that they had posted was about red tide. I would think they would have some info if that was the case. And besides... if I was just washed out of NO, I wouldn't want to be that close to the water!

In my never-ending quest for tasty fried chicken, I'm 'sperimentin' with eleven herbs & spices again tonight. Not sure about this effort because, after grinding spices, I made some off-hand comment to Kim about what I was doing, and she allowed that the kitchen's aroma was "not unpleasant".

Seeing the look on my face, she volunteered that it was "a nice smell for the house".

Well, the proof's in the final product. If my latest effort does not pan out, I still have last year's recipe.

But, getting back to Brett's original question, is everyone in the mood for fried chicken?

Yes, especialy I since not present the last time you made it, but will be this time. And yes, Terry did bring some home to me, and it was great!
