John, I have stayed in many state and federal parks, and have left stuff (like brand-new bicycles) outside, and unlocked, with no problem. If you have a lockable rack on your car for them, there is no reason not to leave them there when not in use.
As far as a dish to pass, you can stop at Publix or Winn Dixie at Deland or Sanford on the way in, and not have to worry about transporting it.

We may be there Friday night, depending on the wife's work schedule. Geez, I almost forgot, it gets dark so early, maybe we will come in on Saturday, who knows.

Wife and I went kayaking at Rainbow Springs, this past Sunday. Nyairdream, your stuff should be safe, never had a problem with missing stuff at a campground.

Here is the attendee list as I see it so far:

Thenewkid64, with edie g
Sneakingup
Rluhr
Pick
nyairdream
tcwilliams
Argosy20 and sd90mac
summerkid?

So I count 14? I know tcwilliams is bringing his kids, so I don't know the exact count. Did I miss anyone???

If everyone can chime in with what they will be bringing for the pot luck, it will be a bit less of a mixed bag.

We are planning to be here on Friday.

I/we will most likely bring potato salad, always a safe bet with fried chicken.

Getting geared up, and I wondered if the attendees would like to do an outdoor movie? I know this is a potential can-o-worms

If we do this right we could have one or two picked before we know for sure who is president

So what will it be? An old road movie, ala Crosby and Hope, a buddy cop movie, a western, action flick, etc?

Remember this is supposed to be fun, so no tearjerkers, or documentaries. I can rent anything that is on DVD and I have the projection hardware, so what do you all want to see?

Brett we could watch Mikey Moore's F/911, then FahrenHYPE 911 after that!

We can bring a desert dish, brownies or cake, or heck, even bake it right there on site, with our spiffy propane fired Magic Chef oven!!

Do we need to bring more chicken? 14+ is a lot of chicken for one person to bring.

Thanks for the offer, but the chicken pieces need to be a certain size to cook just right, and most grocery stores only sell monster size pieces. I already have a cooler set aside for the job.

I would like to get a firm headcount before we leave town though.

Thanks!

How about Lucy and Ricky's Long, Long Trailer? I've heard that was a riot, but have never seen it. Just a thought.

Pick,

In a word NO. The election is OVER. If everyone is as sick as I am hearing about it, no one would show up to watch.

Sneakingup, I like the idea, question is can I get the VCR to connect? I only have that on VHS. I don't think it was ever released on DVD

Keep the suggestions coming. BTW We will need something to show it against. Say someones awning with a white sheet hanging off the edge?

Brett,

If your DVD player is separate from the projection device, a VCR should be able to plug in place of it. The backup plan could be my Boyz' 13-inch TV/VCR combo. Although for 14 or so people it could get a little cozy watching Luuuuciiiiii's antics.

Just trying to help,
Tom
