Is there going to be a Potluck dinner on Saturday night? (Isn't there always one at a rally?) We are packing for our trip to Disney and will be going straight to Topsail and the wife wanted to know what to pack for the rally.

I checked the Rally page and we have 3 RSVP including mine and Li Pets who stated he will not make it, and 3 maybe's. I am not sure the other RSVP is gone to show up so I am not making any plans. I think it can be called canceled due to lack of interest. Donna, Justin and I will be there and will play it by ear.

So if you plan to attended speak up now.

OK, Red Bar on Friday night or Saturday night? We plan on getting there on the first and setting up. We were planning on going to the Red Bar if there was a group, but if everyone wants to go on Saturday, that's fine.
BTW, Jim, when are you going to Disney? We leave on 12/26 and stay through 12/31. I've been trying to add the night of the 31st without any luck.

As soon as I receive an additional communiqué from the deep cover contingent I will know what time best fits the Red Bar outing. I am flexible but want to be sure everyone is included. Remember we are all being watched.
We will be at Disney arriving 2-22 and leaving 2-29. We are not taking the trailer; we are staying off site at a hotel. My son’s high school marching band marches in the Disney Mardi Gras parade ever other year. It is really a tour package, the band employs a company which specializes in doing band trips and the package is extended to band parents. Basically the kids are turned loose and check in a couple of times a day. It will be great to speak with you and get some Disney ideas. Donna and I have been several times, we would like to kick it up a notch. I have booked the Epcot Segway tour which should be fun.
We will have a much smaller group for this rally, but it will be fun, I am now getting motivated.

Hey all,
I'm new to the forums and new to Airstreaming!! I was told about this rally by another member of the forum and was looking at possibly coming out. Of course, this depends on whether I can get my Airstream road worthy between now and then. Looking at getting new axles, brakes, tires and such installed and I'm in the midst of restoring her as well. But if I can't make this one, I'll surely make the next one in the Southeast.

Sounds great. Looking at your pictures I think you can make it with out a problem. Your trailer certainly looks like it is ready for some use and it dose not have to be perfect. I know the puppy would have a great time also. If you have never been to Topsail you are in for a treat. If you do not make this Rally the Can Opener is the following weekend which will have a much larger group. We are not anti social some of us could not do the Can Opener due to kids in school or scheduling conflicts.
It is always good to have Corpsman around, never know when you will need one.
Let me know if you need more information.
Jim

The above is for New Years. The rest of the year no reservations are required.
We are planning on eating out New Years and then finding a Fire Works display. We will have our 14 year old son with us who we have to keep entertained. If anyone wants to go out as a group speak up the more the merrier.

Ditto on that!! I soooo wish that my trailer was done. I am very anxious to get out and meet everyone. I've made a ton of progress gutting my trailer and starting to come up with ideas for the interior
Hey Carol, glad to see someone from L.A. (Lapeer Area). I'm originally from Lapeer, currently in the Navy stationed down in Gulfport, MS. I'm planning my first Airstream excursion to Michigan somethime in April!!! Hopefully there'll be a rally or something while I'm there

Nice to meet you Brian. April would be perfect timing for Michigan I think that's the time we all start to rub our eyes and poke our noses out. So far nothing planned but if this early January feeling is an indication you gotta know we will all be raring to get out with the Airstreams ASAP!!!!!!!!! There's got to be shakedown rally we can go to. We'll just have to see to it, for sure.

Not sure if Jim took photos, but I forgot my camera at home! Imagine going to Disney at Christmas and seeing the Osborne Christmas Lights and not having a camera with you and then going to a forums rally. Anyway, it was great weather and good fellowship...it was just Jim and his family and my family plus the mystery contingency. There were five other Airstreams besides us and only one of them knew about the forums.
Aside from a thunderstorm Saturday night, the temps were mild and this weekend should be great for the Can Opener. Look forward to going back and seeing everyone that'll be there.
