Gosh, we are still dying for a site if anyone had one. We have seven kids and going back and forth across the highway will be a real bummer.

I thought I replied, but can't find my post. Bummer you can't bring your rig! We are dying for a spot on that side of the highway, so if any more become available, please please please let us know. We have seven children and really don't look forward to hauling them back and forth.

Ah well, I am glad you have it. We probably won't find one, it is frustrating that there is no waiting list. We have been calling almost daily. Bummer! I think we probably still go, because we can't wait to meet everyone, but it is yucky to haul the children back and forthconstantly, and we are sD that we will have to go to bed at the same time they do so we will miss evening socializing since we cant leave them alone so far away.

Gosh I guess I could have done it differently but I was rushing around today and almost forgot to even call... Maybe something will work out. There's about a month to go. (it would be nice to have a waiting list, I agree)
If it works out I will come and stay at the inn. It's such a fantastic time and super people...

Man, I gotta admit I feel a little bad, has anyone called to see if they will keep a waiting list ? I missed the one in the spring, by just a few days the same way, by the time i heard about it, there were no spots open. Worked out for the better I guess, as I was able to get some more done to my camper over the summer. Anyway, this will be my first ever Airstream social event. If anyone wants to chime in on anything I need to know ahead of time, It would me very much appreciated...

The park is supposed to hold sites for us, and they did until 60 days before the event. Sorry some are having a hard time with it. The fall is the busiest season for that beautiful area, so it is tough to get get our usual 50 or more sites held.
Anyway- if you stay across the road, you will only be coming over for the Sat events, morning brunch, touring the "homes" then a break until dinner. Not as convenient but not too bad really.

We are excited about being there even if we won't get to be part of the tour since we will be on the wring side if the tracks. We really want to show off our homemade bunkhouse! Maybe in the spring at the springsteeam rally we can hold an open house. Either way, I wish we had finished our airstream in time to get a better spot, but we are just happy to even get to visit. Thank you to Alan for all your hard work!!! Next time we will be able to plan ahead!

Don't know if the sites were paid for and people didn't show up OR what, but there were at least 10 sites that I counted vacant at Springstream this past April.

YES There are always no shows or cancellations, especially from the SOB crowd

SO you might just get a site in the midst of it all yet.

Also- we are considering a Chattanooga weekend the first wkd of October or the second one. Not sure where yet, but if anyone is up for it let us know.
