Sorry we couldn't make it this weekend, but the good news is we still had Wanda out and about. The equipment team used Wanda as ground zero for tailgating and supporting our high school band. And the Pope HS Band won second place out of about 20 bands.
Hope to see pictures from this weekend!

Hey Alan,
Kept my eyes on this thread cause Jean and I have always enjoyed the Spring rallys that we attended. Glad to see that you had a good weekend with good friends and by the looks of it great weather.
We were camped in Niagara Falls for scuba diving and Jean did the half marathon today.

What a great weekend we had! Rob was rather subdued following the unexpected death of his very good friend, but despite the late start we had a wonderful time!

What a wonderful rally! Thanks to all who made it happen. The weather was perfect, and the location couldn't be better for fall foliage viewing.
It was great to put faces to names and meet so many Airforums members.

This was a great weekend. Thanks to Alan & Shannon for all the work they do to get this rally pulled together. The kids in the band was nothing but GREAT. I hope they come back next year.
Where we are the isn't anything shiny. I know there are still folk here from the rally. We are heading out in a few hours. Just waiting for it to warm up some.

What a great weekend (in spite of my car troubles). Weather was perfect and the company even better. Thanks again Alan for doing this.
As to my rattle trap of a Tahoe, amazingly enough I made it HOME!. It was clanking so loudly folks on the other side of the six lane turned to look!
It was a rod as several of you suggested. I'm getting a crate engine from GM. I can have it installed and walk away for just over $3500, I'm floored but thrilled!!
Thanks for all the advice.
Lanny

So Glad You Made it Home!
Wow! I'm really surprised and relieved you made it home.
We had a belt tensioner pulley bearing give out as we came through Banks Crossing, which was better than a broken serpentine belt. Nothing like doing auto repair in the Pottery parking lot with an Airstream hitched up, knowing you're only 20 miles from home. Fortunately, the bearing pressed out easily and O'Reilly's had the replacement bearing (not the pulley itself).
We had an amazingly good time, especially given our very late (12:30am) arrival Friday night/Sat morn. (Sat afternoon, I wasn't sure if I was gonna make it but adrenaline kicked in sometime after 4!)
I've uploaded video of "WipeOut" onto my FaceBook page and am not sure how exactly to link to it, but I'll try.
Thanks again to Alan and Shannon, and everyone involved in the event. It was truly a wonderful weekend for our family
