We had a super weekend!! The food last night was terrific...thanks to all those who worked so hard to create the variety of dishes we got to share.
The raffle donations were a load of fun, and the "Twice a Year Band" had a good time sharing some tunes with everyone.
I always get a big charge out of the tour of homes, and it was no dissapointment this time.
Lastly the weather, fall colors and full moon made the whole event another to remember.
We are already looking at the plans for April and I will start a new thread soon, once I talk to the park and make sure we can nail down a date.
As for the satelite, it was a bust. No signal, probably due to many trees across from our site. But, the TIVO worked great and we had movies galore.

Rallys twice a year..Lots of fun, food, and aluminum.
Back to Vale was a pleasant drive, (except for the heavy traffic heading into Asheville). With a few stops along the way, I got in at 6:15 PM. My friend Ronnie and I had a blast and thank everyone for the great B'day party and well wishes. The open house was fun. I really enjoyed seeing the Spartan, Shasta, and the many AS trailers that were totally decked out for the rally. Hazel and Bruce, and many others that I met, I look forward to seeing you at future campouts. camper (DT) thanks for bringing the propane tanks. I gotta unpack now. Pictures will be posted later...
We had a great time - thanks for the fun and fellowship. We also enjoyed the band last night (great job guys - and the music we love) - tho we had to leave early because Jeff's mom was cold. And proud to say - we had no major issues to deal with!
Hi all!!! I hope everyone had as good of a time as I did. What a weekend!!! I'll take a forums rally anytime. Who can beat music, movies, swapping stories, dozens of beautiful trailers, and Martin's ribs. I'll heat up the espresso anytime for this crowd. I will try to post pictures shortly.
Be well and pull straight...

Great to see everyone again - can't wait till next year :)
This was our third rally with the group and it keeps getting better! Every year, I bring my kayak, thinking I'll have PLENTY of time to get out there and paddle around, but then I have too much fun visiting with everyone! It was so great to see all of our old friends and to meet some new ones. I almost took a new one home with me! (in the form of Mr. & Mrs. Chinup's adoptable dogs)
It's always such a great time meeting the variety of folks who own and love their "portable palaces" - even those that aren't of the aluminum variety
The bubble man was surely a hit - among the kids and the kids-at-heart! The weather was better than any of us could have expected - it was truly gorgeous and such a treat! The only thing I'm sad about was that we had to leave today instead of being able to stay longer.
Hope everyone had a safe trip home! I'll try to upload my pictures and post a link to them in a few days.

This was our second trip to Hiawasse. First with our own camper. We really enjoyed meeting new people and seeing some familiar faces. the Potluck was great and the music so fab!
Our Lemondrop faired well as we enjoyed being a "bright " spot in the campground... Many asked where we got the awning... vintage supply.com.
Hope to see you in the Spring.
Lemondrop ( Kathy) and Camper Dan.
AHHHH!!!!!!! at last the kids are in bed. Haven't finished unpacking but thats what the next week is for. we are at least talking about "topsail" and we are "IN" for the Spring. Was great to see all of you again, and meet many new great folks! Thanks for the trick or treating, tolerating our herd, the new ideas, suggestions and allowing us to be part. will post pics soon.

We're home and I've had to hit the ground running with "my other life" again. We were about to hitch up at Hiawassee when Overlander63 (Terry and Marie) rolled in. It was such a pleasure to talk with Terry and Marie for a bit and see their Airstream home, Bertha, and of course the Peek-a-Poo Cookie. When we left around 3PM only PizzaChop, Phil and/or Sue, Clancy Boy, and McLogger along with Overlander63 were left.
I'll try to get pictures up tomorrow sometime. What a great rally as always. Thanks Alan for organizing this event.
