Silver wings

I've seen them repainted on Shasta's to match the two-tone. But polished, WOW. That's way more better.

Or a big shark fin on top.Sounds like a photoshop project for me.

Looking forward to next weekend. We tried to book a slot at amicolola, red top and unicoi this weekend to test everything (as we haven't camped ALL YEAR!!!) but all the state parks are booked up! I'm slowly learning that you need to plan your whole year of camping over the winter, and make reservations early!

planning that far ahead isn't exactly my strong suit...

We booked over 2 months ago for Fort Mtn this weekend and we're headed out today. Three days after booking the park was full. It's tough to do spontaneous camping in nice spots unless you dry camp or boondock.

This weekend and next weekend are peak leaf color weekends in the N. Georgia and probably south Ten. mountains. It would have probably been fairly easy to get something the second weekend in November. Usually, the third weekend in October is viewed, pardon the pun, as the peak weekend in N. GA. I took my boys on an overnight Scout camp out last weekend in the southern Georgia mountains (south of Atlanta near Pine Mountain) and they hadn't hit peak yet. Temps may have played a part in that though. We've been warm for this time of year.

Banjo threat alert drops to yellow

My wife has to work the weekend of Falluminum So, we won't be there and therefore the banjo threat alert has dropped from red to yellow.

Sorry to miss y'all.

We are going to try hard to be at Can Opener. Hope to see everyone there!

Scott, Mona, Caroline and Logan

you can call the park the dayyou are going as they hold a few sites for drive ups. If they have one and you can get there in time.I have done that at a few parks, and surprisingly they had a lot of spots available that were not showing in their reservation system. People that did one night instead of two, etc.
We stayed at Camp Cherry Log last weekend. Quiet and off the road aways, but nothing much more than a place to park.

It looks like work is going to keep me away from this event

If I have to cancel, does anyone want spot 38?

Moonshot and Soldiermedic, you know you will both be missed. Steve, after all that hard work to get you a workable site. And our little caravan . . . guess the Tradewind will have to trek through the gorge solo. I understand. Life happens and our best plans have to change.

I'm holding off on a map update until Sunday night. I'm off to camp in a few hours and there may be more changes over the weekend.

We are shrinking...but that does happen as life gets in the way of streamin'. Sorry to those who can't make it. Maybe next April, when we crank up Springstream '08......

God willing and the creek don't rise!

I wouldn't mind seeing some rising water every now and then.
