Hi group:

I just called the office and somehow we were moved to site 84. I don't know if that was our doing or there's. We are excited that the group has grown and look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones

Ok, I confess. I really, really wanted site 82.
You see... 82 is my lucky number so I just could not help myself.
I called the campground office and told them I was Mr. M. Coldespressee and needed to move our reservation from 82 to 84.
Considering I was speaking with someone whose name sounded like frisbee we got along famously and the deed was done in a matter of minutes.

Later, after waiting a discreet 5 minutes, I called back and introduced myself as
Mr. EM and that we needed to move our reservation from 33 to 82; IF we could be so lucky as to find it available.

The ruse was a fabulous success and we are now the happy and lucky future tenants of the infamous site # 82.

Other surprises await…

Steve, I promise you will buy "more stuff" than you would ever guess before the first anniversary date of your new Airstream ownership.
I do have an extra 25 feet you can use if necessary.

Howdy, Mario. I thought it odd that your previous site showed up as available.

As long as you bring your guitars, I don't care where in the park you camp . I am looking forward to playing again.

This just happened yesterday but since you ask...

We have 90 reserved (after giving away 33) and I decided to keep
the reservation in case someone wanted to join the rally at the last minute.

Site 90 will available to a rally attendee until Monday the 22nd (cancellation deadline).

Which site should Sugarfoot put you on? I kept trying to follow the threads, and have to admit, I was confused about which site you would be on too. And then there is site 90 that is being held.

I was in the cul-de-sac last year and liked that spot.....lake all around you.....beautiful view of the mountains......

Hop Scotch around the lake. Looks like we will all have a site (hopefully) to our liking. The friends we will make and join up with here will be the main feature, no matter if our site is unlevel or our walking distance great. We'll need a long walk after the food we're likely to eat anyhow. The electric connections in most sites was near the rear of the trailer and some water connections were near the street. It was kind of an odd setup, but it is workable with a few extra supplies.

Is anyone going over to Helen, GA either before or after this rally? The Airstream only park is nearby too.

Picking a site is like choosing which color M&M to eat.

They all look good but some just sound better than others.

By the way, what’s to be confused about?

Big fat lie, 2nd version.

I remember way back when Cold-coffee booked 82 but it appears the somewhat elderly staff may have marked that one down on 84. And so it remained an untruth for a period of time.

Nilesrob (old Brad) had booked 78 and then decided to jump ship for 81 (most likely for a still unknown devious reason).

We had 33 and then offered it to S.medic so they could be closer to the front line.

The office staff strikes again and convinces the medics that they will see more action in 38. Goodbye 33.
(maybe the truth is found only if the journey starts at 33)

Meanwhile we need to stake a claim or we’ll be waving from the other side of the water.
So, with Feebe’s help and according to the official central office registration big book we discover sites 82 and 90, and a few others not worth mentioning, were available.
But Ms. Feebe! I exclaimed, “According to the forum map, the coffee folks from Nashville are on 82”. Noooo says Ms. Feebe, 82 is available and I think you would love it! And you can have it at a discount since you sound like such a sweet man and use big words like forum.” (then she giggled).

Now where were we…
Oh yeah, for seven days Feebe keeps calling and whispering in the phone “82 is for you em, 82 is for you sweetie pie”. What could I do? This woman has the POWER to mess up a family vacation. And she has our credit card number!
Goodbye 33. Goodbye 90. Hellooo 82.

Now the coffeepress folks come home and find a ton of PMs. “Do you know where you are or just where you wanna be?” “Are you in 82?, still coming? Do you own an Airstream?” …stuff like that. They get scared about the status of their reservation and call The Office. Of course Feebe is watching my back so she slips them old 84.
“Got ya’ covered sweetie pie.”

em.

What’s your site selection story?
