Great, I'll update the map, change Nilesrob's spot, etc., when you know more.

This place just needs some aluminum!

I was in Hiawassee earlier today. The water is low, but still OK for boats, which many places in North Georgia cannot say - many boat ramps closed due to low water levels. Lookin' good!

our lake's down, too. In fact, I don't think I've passed a lake in Georgia that isn't! ha! Good News...we're still in! Bad News... I don't think the Silver Pickle is gonna be campable by then. I was really hoping to have the cabinets in there so we could at least have an aluminum "in progress" tent... maybe by the can opener.

Hey, that's what a spare Airstream is for! hehe!

I called and spot 38 was open. They said it was for a 25' trailer, but we only have a 19'. They also said it wasn't completely level, but that is what hitch jacks are for.

I still have the chance to book 33, but can someone let me know if we will be okay on this spot 38 please.

I'm trying to figure out what you mean by o'kay on spot 38. From what I remember all the sites on that side of the road - which includes mine, are sloped up from the road. You may be able to see just a hint of it on the right side of the photo, in nilesrob photo 3 posts above this one. It's no real problem, just bring some blocking for the front jack to make sure you can level the trailer. I seem to remember Devoman had to put blocking under his hitch to level. I will bring plenty of 2x6's for firewood and blocking.

Clancy,

If you are bring 2x6s I would rather not lug them all the way down,

If you don't mind that is.

Steve, I was on 42 last year and I helped a lady level her class "C" motorhome on site #38. It does lean slightly, but is by no means objectionable. I will also have boards if you need them.

JP, you've done a bunch with the Silver Pickle, but I would understand you not camping in it until your family can have some creature comforts. Now as for the Can Opener . . . . I'm expecting to at least see a sneak preview by then.

Steve, I'll bring my 2 x 10 planks also. I need to use one of them in my site, but you are welcome to borrow the others.

BTW, those of you that haven't been to Area 1 at the GA Mtn. Fairgrounds, be sure to bring at least 50 feet worth of fresh water hose. I remember having to stretch hard to reach the connects as they are not conveniently placed, and I wasn't the only one.

Sugarfoot, it's about time you got back to work on the forums! Can't have you having too much fun on the lake, especially when I can't be there!

Oh yea, did you see the work I assigned to you????

Awww, come on Kathy, can't a girl have a little more fun on the lake? Talk about work getting in the way . . . if y'all had only swung by for a bit you could have had a nice seat on the water front and a glass in your hand.

Unfortunately, my "real" job and the need for more money to finance my aluminum addiction has mandated my return. About that "work assignment", I punted that back to Klattu. However, I am a bit behind on the Falluminum map. I'll be updating as soon as the dust settles.
