Just called the grounds, and almost all of the sites that are open on the picture have been booked.

If someone cancels let me know please.

Sites Available

Steve, soldiermedic,
I talked to the lady at the fairgrounds on 9-25 and there were still a few sites on the peninsula available. These are a short walk from the "main" group. Since we will have some meals and gatherings across the road at the pavilion, this should not present a problem to you. IMHO

Really nothing is actually required. Bring yourself and anyone else who wants to come. If you bring food, boats, instruments, so much the better. But we have no rules, and no reuqirements. So no allowed in this group.

Steve,

I know you have a ways to travel, but I hope you can make it. It'll be lots of fun. Hope to see you there.

It isn't anything personal, but we wanted to be near the main group for our 3 year old.

I do have a really nice acoustic/electric guitar I could bring if we arrive. My wife put in for vacation in the case something opens up.

Steve,
Look at site 33 and if that is close enough to suit you, we might be able to find another spot. I just spoke to their office and there are spots available but they are in the 20 ft. range and not long enough for us.
I will chase another spot only if you are interested in 33.

Standing by,
martin.

Keep in mind that last year we put our 34' on a spot that was rated for about a 20' rig. Some of the sites fall off and can actually handle a longer rig than rated, as long as trees aren't in the way.

Alan, add a campfire basket to the raffle list. It will consist of items like Jiffy Pop Popcorn, s'mores, maybe some apple cider and/or hot chocolate.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Levon

Ok folks, I finally heard from Levon. He is giving us up for bear hunting for Falluminum. He did say to tell everyone that he will see us in the Spring!

Looks like Amy will likely get approved for leave for Falluminum.

Crossing our fingers something will be left.

Out in the trailer today, I was having fun just thinking about the upcoming trips I have planned. Only 4 weeks away and we will be in Hiawassee.

This is our first rally but we are already getting pumped. Most of the campgrounds we go to don't have any hookups it will be great to have power and water.

Great, I'll update the map, change Nilesrob's spot, etc., when you know more.

This place just needs some aluminum!

I was in Hiawassee earlier today. The water is low, but still OK for boats, which many places in North Georgia cannot say - many boat ramps closed due to low water levels. Lookin' good!

our lake's down, too. In fact, I don't think I've passed a lake in Georgia that isn't! ha! Good News...we're still in! Bad News... I don't think the Silver Pickle is gonna be campable by then. I was really hoping to have the cabinets in there so we could at least have an aluminum "in progress" tent... maybe by the can opener.

Hey, that's what a spare Airstream is for! hehe!

I called and spot 38 was open. They said it was for a 25' trailer, but we only have a 19'. They also said it wasn't completely level, but that is what hitch jacks are for.

I still have the chance to book 33, but can someone let me know if we will be okay on this spot 38 please.
