In the Spring, the shelter/pavilion was a great place for the evening meal. The fact that it's further away for the fall gathering is a bite, but there was much discussion in page 8 (http://www.airforums.com/forums/f288...s-32035-8.html)
and hopefully, the pros will far outweigh the cons.

I am looking forward to Rally!!!!!

I'm going to epoxy coat the fixtures, install a new toilet and some kind of flooring, not sure yet. I have 10 weekends left before the rally, so I'll have see about the polishing. I am looking forward to see others who have the same addiction as me and Camperski.

Pavillion Probably Still Best Choice

Brad,

I agree that it will complicate the logistics a bit (we may need to provide shuttle service to cut down on vehicles parked near pavillion) but I really think, given the number of attendees, that the pavillion will provide the best venue for our gathering.

Having so many tables and a concrete slab, not to mention the shelter was really nice compared to the two previous ones we attended (although we enjoyed those as well). Let's face it, we're becoming quite a crowd!

We'd be happy to offer our van as a shuttle for those who prefer to leave their vehicles at their campsite.

I am not a fan of schlepping either...but it would seem the pavillion is a good spot for this gathering. So maybe we could all help each other to be sure that everyone gets over there.
Whaddayathink?
as it gets closer I will put out a few suggested get together times , such as th Saturday morning coffee/tea/what ever you have/ chat. Also the afternoon tour of homes. ...
What do you all think about doing that part like the VAC? A sign in the window or pn the door means your trailer is open for viewing . This gives the opportunity to folks who want to go on their own tour of home to do so. I can print some 81/2 X 11 signs.

I'd be in favor of the pavilion, too. It worked well in the spring. The sign in the window is a good idea, too.

I was planning on printing up a data sheet for our rig with the year, model, unique features, and vital stats, etc. and posting it next to the front door and I was thinking it might be good for each to do the same and attach it to the window or beside the door so we wouldn't have to repeat that info every time someone came, or if we were out, the visitor could read it and then know if they wanted to return later to see the inside when someone was "home". Perhaps we could keep that info in a smaller format, maybe 8-1/2X8-1/2, so that it could be attached to a larger 8-1/2X11 uniform sign that would be recognized by all attending.

Tom, don't forget to also include brand name...

If you work out a format that you can share, maybe you can post it here to provide uniformity...

seems like that is the favored choice, although my wife sure likes the idea of staying close to the trailers and using folding tables and such...whatever works!
I will make up the window form ( in MS WORD) you can display and add some line for pertinent trailer info. I can post it here or on the Southeast.ThisoldRv.Com site depends how it works..

I will make a form up to post that you all can print out, and bring some extras to the rally.
Anyone got anything to donate for the give away?

Yes. Sue and I are donating a string of party lights. I will have to dig them out and post a pic. I don't remember which decoration is on the lights.

Raffle Donations

For raffle I've got two brand-new women's Old Navy Airstream Graphic Tee's ~ an XL and XXL. They run a bit on the small side, but heck, they have Airstreams on 'em.
