Falluminum

I think the date works for us. I need to check with the planning committee.

Folks need to be aware that Loop A has NO FIRE RINGS (at least last year). If we have the shelter, that won't be a problem on Saturday...but it can be a disappointing surprise.

I have site A-5

For who ever is keeping track of site reservations. I have registered in A-5. We were at the Springstream 08 rally. We are looking forward to coming back again.

I better add my name to this site. We have A-7. They told us that it would handle our Motor home. We are coming in on the 22nd and leaving on the 25th. From there we are going to Florida to Fort Meyers beach for about 10 days. Visiting Regina's parents but staying by the beach.

We're in on A-8 for Friday and Saturday nights. They are holding the sites for 3 nights...23, 24, and 25. Make sure you discuss it when you call. The computer will automatically sign you up for Friday - Monday.

we will post a map with the sites that are booked. Soon.
Here is an added bonus.....You can choose to buy tickets and see them, or listen to them in the still night air of the campground. We may forgo our music jam, so as no to interfere and draw their crowd

Cool the last time I saw them and only time (LOL) was the Miami Pop Festival in 1969. For some reason they look a little different now.

Danalee .... I was at the 1969 Miami Pop Festival too. Did you happen to go to the two Atlanta festivals? July 4th weekend 1969 $12.00 to go and I thought it was a fortune for the ticket, it was at the Atlanta International Raceway (I am reading the info off of my poster that I bought that weekend) It's framed and hangs next to my desk. Those were the good ole Hippie days.

Red Chops

OK Roy you got me beat but I was at both, 1st & 2nd. Priscilla and I circa 1970. I'd just had my hair cut and shaved the beard. I left the red chops. Dig the cape and cane. Were ties ever that short?

Roy,I didn't make Atlanta. Were you the guy who passed me the roach on our row? Maybe you were the guy who danced all day and night by the stage. The first migraine I ever hadI had to go to the car and missed Jose Feliciano!!Don't do well with smoke of any kind.I thought it was wild to see that many great groups perform. I knew we had something in common when I met you at Springstream. Somewhere there is a picture of me with my bell bottoms and hair down to my waist, parted in the middle of course! I really was a wannabe hippie, trying to make up for it now. Have you seen the bumper sticker, "I embarass my children?" that's me.Where are you going to get tickets? All of us children of the 60's will have to be together to rock the night away!!!!!

Linda and I will regretfully miss the Falluminum. It's just too far for us to make the trip to Hiawassee twice a year (considering the other trips we want to make), but the Three Dog Night concert really had me rethinking. I still have a few of their albums and this is an opportunity to step back to the good music of the 70's. Oh well, we'll have to wait until the Springstream before we head back to Hiawassee. Enjoy the concert if you go.

Jim, I hope you and Regina come to next year's Springstream and we do the dutch oven thing (Sugarfoot too), or maybe the CanOpener in January. We'll definitely be at the CanOpener (only an hour from our house).

BTW, we're spending two weeks at Vogel State Park (only 45 minutes from Hiawassee) the last week of June and first week of July. If anyone is in the neighborhood please stop by. Sort of a family get together - 4 Airstreams and 1 SOB.

Sorry you can't make it this fall Luckyducks ( i love your name) we will miss you for sure.

Lanny not only was that tie short but it was a little on the very wide side of life too. I was at both Atlanta ones too. I got hooked on the blues back then because of seeing Johnny Winter for the first time.

Danalee I promise that wasn't me passiing that roach, back then I tended to "bogart" them. There were three of us in Miami and we got a ride with one friends parents because they were headed to the Keys ... can't believe they just dropped us off and then 4 days later just picked us up. If they only new what trouble we got into.

Roy, Its memeories of those days gone by that made me a little less trusting of my kids. LOl Now that they are parents its interesting how they react to situations!
Johnny Winters was remarkable-not too many like him.

Hey ALL...........Just reserved A-19. Looking forward to seeing you all once again and sharing a pancake griddle with Gevin................
Russ, and ALL actually, we are closing on another 11.6 acres adjoining us up to the top of the mountain. We now have a paved road all the way to the top of the mountain with a FANTASTIC view into Tenn. and Ala......SO, If anybody needs a place to lay over you are totally welcome. Yes, so far, up on top is self-contained; but we do have a couple of spots down at the barn/house which has power and water.........
Stop by..............Thanks Allen for doing what YOU do.........God Bless.......Dennis

Hey again.............A quick note. Just called about the concert with 3 Dog Night. Tickets go on sale Sept 10. Yes if we are in time we can get them in a block. Cost up front is $37 per and at the back $27. So, it would seem that we need to organize and talk a bit to see if we want to do this as a bunch. Plenty of time though as we looked on 3DN websight and the event is not listed................

See you then.........Dennis

3 Dog Night are playing here in Chatt Town in June at our Riverbend Festival, so I think I'll forego the $40 ticket and just listen to them from the campfire. Nothing like music around the fire!
