Wow Alan you have to let me know where that is on the lake, I would like to hang out there next time I take the boat up to Russell ..... good seeing you guys up there wish we had been camping in the stream.
Roy,

It's about a 10-15 minute ride south past the CSX railroad bridge at channel markers 19 & 21. It was very cool and the kids had a blast.

Our plans have changed on how we will get to the rally. Regina's parents are German and live in Cape Coral, Florida. Every year at the German American club they have Oktoberfest. This will be my third year at it. If you like BEER this is the place to be. Last year they went through 800 kegs of beer in two weekends. The public is welcome.

We will be staying at San Carlos RV Park at Fort Myers Beach. We will leave from there on October 21 and stop at Eagles Roost RV Park for the night. This is at exit 5 on I-75 in South Georgia. Then to Hiawassee. Anybody coming from that area want to meet us and come up together let us know.

Just a little over two months away, can't wait for the cooler weather too. Will be a lot of fun and can't wait to see everyone and meet more. Hello Lemomtree let me ask you where is Cloudland, Ga. . Look forward to meeting you.

Don't have any cabbage patch babies here that I know of. Could have been some created out behind the woodshed? We're on Lookout Mountain in Georgia about 20 miles or so south of Chattanooga, TN. We're just a stone's throw from Cloudland Canyon State Park.

Well, we're bringing MY parents this time! Last fall we brought my wife's parents from the UK, and I think my mom wants the same camping Airstreaming fun....

Anyway, We're in A27 and A13. Looks like we'll be bringing Shotgun AND the Silver Pickle! If anyone wants to swap a space so I can park my folks next to us, let me know. I checked with the campground and they said that they could change it for me, if I have any volunteers!

See you guys in 2 months! (I getter get the toilet done in the Pickle!!)

We had one of our first Rallys at Cloudland. Beautiful place! Just not a great layout for a Rally. My wife Shannon almost broke her ankle on the trail to the waterfalls...had to take her to the ER, after almost having to carry her up the trails.

I stayed there on our first real Airstream trip 8 years ago..in the Classic 280 MOho. Nice spot...I used to teach in Ft Myers.

Last year we had our Jeep with us and bikes. We found it was faster to walk to the beach. The traffic outside the park was backed up for a mile or so trying to get to the beach. If you have the time come up to our rally Oct. 1 -4, 2009. Or we will see in a few weeks.
