How many folks will be there Thursday Evening??? And weather....
We were planning to make some gumbo with Aidella's chicken-apple sausage Thursday evening. I was going to make a double batch in hopes that it would be enough to go around. Let me know if you might be interested in partaking of this Thursday evening. Some french bread would be good with this but we have been on a salad and fresh fruit cleanse/detox thing the past 18 days or so...so we won't be bringing any bread! If you want some...bring it for yourself! Our last day is Saturday...Ruth says that she will be having dark M&M'sw for breakfast that day! On the subject of brunch Saturday...I'll be making waffles with some real good organic batter (they taste like normal waffles) and will have some real maple syrup for anyone interested.
Weather...everyone be advised that are we are looking at a 60% chance of rain Friday afternoon/evening. Plan accordingly! High 74 Friday, high of 58 on Saturday...lows in the 30's.
My fuel pump I ordered for the woody wagon did not come in in time so we'll be towing with the Airstream B190. Camped next to Alan, Shannon and family.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone and do have one question...Mario...will there be expresso????
We cannot leave until Friday. Hopefully we can get away from work around noon to pack the "kids". I have a conference call at 1 pm so I will not really be away...just attached with a cell phone. *bleh*
Airstream One is set to roll out tomorrow morning with a 10 a.m. departure time from Sumter, SC.
We're excited to be out on our first road trip this year, YIKES! The busy work schedule we both have has kept us close to home, not to mention the cost of gas which now isn't a factor!
DON'T FORGET YOUR NAME TAGS! Some of us are too old to remember names, some of us just don't have a memory that fires on all eight cylinders.

"I'm not an expert. But I did sleep in an Airstream last night."
My Tai friend just delivered a large batch of freshly homemade Tai vegetable spring rolls with a sweet spicy sauce for the potluck complete with preparation instructions. Not typical potluck fare, but her goodies are fabulous!
See y'all soon ~ we're heading out this afternoon.
Pulling up camp.
I've got all the outside stuff "stowed" that I can do right now. Rumor has it there's rain coming. Don't want to uncessarily stay out in the rain any longer tonight or tomorrow more than we have to...Working on inside later this afternoon while I catch up on my soaps...Oh the life of a trella wife...
I'm in the waiting area at Truck and Trailer USA. They know me well here. The Tradewind was hitched, W/D bars on, all systems go. When raising the tongue jack foot the whole center post just dropped out. My jaw dropped just about as fast. Ultrafab worked well . . . until now.
If they can fix or replace today, we'll be there. Maybe after dark, but we'll be there. Someone please hold the lantern for me. I can just envision myself backing off into Lake Chatuge there at site B13.
