we'll be rolling in thursday afternoon as well. Gonna be great! Early start to the festivities!

no feathercraft this time... :-( It was either the boat, or the second trailer with the inlaws... tough choice!

We be here...

After two months on the road that involved a LONG week at Airstream getting up every morning to pack up so they could haul it into the service garage we decided to change our reservation and arrive much earlier.

We arrived at the fair grounds since last Wednesday. It was COLD the first few days. Yesterday was beautiful and we went north on the sidecar to enjoy the countryside.

Today was even nicer. We were able to relocate today to our rally space, B7; it was taken when we arrived. There were even a few boats on the lake today.

This is our first time here and we are impressed; good price and good facility.

We look forward to the comming weekend and a chance to meet everyone!

Can someone provide some info about TV reception in the area or the availability of wi-fi/internet?

We might have convinced some non-trailer owning friends to attend the weekend with us. The only absolute necessity for them is the ability to watch the Alabama-LSU game on Saturday afternoon.

Game will be broadcast on CBS and they can receive signal either via a TV antenna or internet connection.

Thanks.

In a few words, yes, both WiFi and cable TV. The WiFi coverage is "spotty" at best. We are directly behind the building with the WiFi antenna and the signal is very weak. I have a special antenna that we are using.

The cable TV is OK, but bring a barrel connector with you. The first site they put us in had just a female connection; someone had taken the barrel connector with them - it had been removed from the post.

Jim,

Thanks for the info. We might have access to a wireless data card as well.

I'm hoping they will join us.

4 days!!!!

Hey, is anyone planning on bringing a bunch of paper goods for all the potlucks? If not, we'll bring all that.

I'm getting excited. It's feeling great to be back in our Aluminotti...I sure missed it.

We've got lunch in Blairsville with friends, so we'll be there on Friday afternoon.

Can't wait to see the sea of 'streams!

We will supply plates/napkins/plastic utensils for the pot luck dinner dinner. We assume that everyone will bring their own cup for drinks; I could be wrong about this.

We're assuming 100+ people for this shindig given the number of trailers X 2 + kids. If this is not a good number I am sure someone will correct the error of my ways.

Okay on paper goods.

Rumor has it there's a cocktail hour planned. I have cheese direct from our trip to Wisconsin. Will bring a cheese & landjager sausage tray for that. Plus, I also have a few adult beverages I'd like to clear out of the "trella" (free to good homes of for consumption at the cocktail hour. Girly fruity stuff...LOL!

Can't wait!

Airstream's almost ready to pull out. Just have to add some food and the raffle item. Some nice hot chocolate, jiffy pop and s'mores. It ain't camping without s'mores!

We'll have some friends joining us from Maryland, so there will be nine of us in the Airstream. 3 adults, 3 kids and 3 dogs. I think we'll stay warm! Gotta love it!

Jim, who is off to the store with Verna to purchase those paper products...

It sounds like some friends of ours and their dogs will be joining us as well. It will be 4 adults, 5 dogs and a cat. I think we will be nice and cozy too.

Somebody is there already, but no pictures have been shared!

Here are a couple of pictures I took on my way to work this morning between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Since I commute 30 minutes each way, this is the kind of scenery I enjoy and wish that everyone that has to commute could have it so nice. Traffic was bad, I probably had to pass three cars!

You can certainly tell it's autumn, but colors are not full here yet. I don't know about further in the mountains. This weekend will probably be close to high color around here.
