I called to make a reservation this afternoon and I got the voice mail even though the office hours on Saturday are supposed to be open 'till 8:30 PM. I left my phone number and name but guess I'll call back tomorrow.

The web site says that you have to make a two night reservation, but I thought others had come for just one night before. Is that possible at this time of year or will I need to make a two night reservation?

On edit, I called back and the young man that answered said he couldn't do a reservation for one night, but for me to call back on Monday before 4:30 and the Alfa staff might could do a one night reservation. So I will try that. Otherwise I may just have to drive up and take what ever is available.

I could probably benefit from a copy of that book...where did you get it in case I don't win it?

Thanks for the welcome. I have been reading the posts on this thread and it sounds like you folks are serious rally veterans. I must say that as a newbie I am a little imtimidated. My wife Franny and me move at a slower pace than most folks due to her stroke, I hope we can live up to the high standards "Streamers" are accustomed to. Looking forward to meeting you all

We're serious about "moving at a slower pace" at rallies. You will be just fine.

Reganzo & Franny, we're rally newbies as well!
I'm so excited!

39 days!

Can't wait to meet everyone. We'll bring tons o'jiffy pop for Friday's movie night. If you need some movies, we've also got a few. Even some IMAX films! Oh and I have some vintage film DVDs as well (Charlie Chan and Thin Man series - love them!)

Well, keep in mind I couldn't rmember where I put the book for the thang, so it should come as no surprise that I can't remember where I bought it...

Reganzo, looking forward to you joining this merry band of gypsies. It'll be nice to see a 34' there - we've had two over the years and loved them both.

On thursday one of our group ( Pickens County Campers) moved their campsite from D19 to D13 as one of our group can't attend. I know D19 was available on Friday.
We got right through at 9:30 AM.
Good Luck.. Looking forward to the campout.

Since Brad can't remember where he found it...I did a quick search on the internet. It looks like Border's, Amazon and several web sites carry it.

Thanks, I don't want my wife to see a copy of it though...she might get ideas and try to learn. My heart couldn't take that! After all, I've ridden with her sans trailer and that's why I do all the towing!

Franny and me are looking forward to hooking up with all you fellow Airstreamers. We are in the final stages of moving our landlocked possessions, and closing on our condo. We should be on the road on or about October 9/10. I think we will need a couple or three days to catch our breath. Still thinking about Virginia Beach as our first stop

Regards,

Reganzo & Franny

VA beach has a beautiful campground at the entrance to the river on the North End. We really liked the views there and the beach. The only thing in summer the chiggers were tough!
Its a public campground.

Just wanted to let y'all know that the rally countdown ticker on my blog says 36 days.

I think we're going to extend our camping. I think the week before and after we 're going to park the Aluminotti in Manchester, so hubby can have a shorter commute to work. That way I can get my baby all ready for the big weekend. Got some KOA rewards to burn before they expire.

It's going on almost two weeks without my beloved AS and I'm having withdrawals. It feels weird being in the condo...Don't know what to do with so much space!

Reganzo, where are y'all moving to? Somewhere nice and warm?

/Lois

It sells for $12.95 and is item #CB7832.

The book is; How to Back Up a Trailer and 101 other things every "Real Guy" should know.
