me too, we put my mom's dog down last year, who had been living with us for awhile. It was not easy and she was 17.

Sorry to hear about buffet... the new furbaby is just adorable!

FYI, we have one of those red Coleman grills and I think we have at least one griddle grate... maybe two...I can bring an electric skillet if need be...We'll have the grill with us.

Cold weather... Love it! Keeps those "personal summers" at bay...LOL!

Phil and Sue........My golden "Raleigh" puts me in the same place and my heart goes out to you. For the last 2 winters she can barely get up and onto her feet. My dilema is how long do I let her suffer vs taking her "life". What life does she have anymore? A very difficult and heart rending thing to do.

Hank and Lois.....am looking for a griddle for cooking pancakes, bacon, or whatever that sits on the burner of a coleman 2 burner stove.........That or we need a regular electric griddle; but the problem is if you remember, that the pavilion has limited electric breaker service. That's why for sure I am bringing an industrial power cord to run to a nearby campsight...........Anyway......Dennis

Dennis, we'll have it with us. So if we need to "wheel" it over to the pavilion, we can. It's propane -powered...

We also have a shrimp/corn boiler if we need to make a mess o'grits or something like that.

I'm getting excited!

/Lois

Griddle, did somone say griddle? Of course I will be glad to bring my pancake house sized griddle, propane powered of course. It has cooked for the masses and warms up nicely if out of the direct wind.

Sue and I will make biscuits and pepper-sausage gravy again. The crock pot worked great for the gravy.

I was looking for a listing of things and names, but cannot find one.

I went back and found Alan had suggested a schedule on post 243:
"Schedule of loosely arranged events;
-Pancakes and whatever u like for (Potluck) Brunch Saturday at 10 am or so---Pavillion
-"Tour of Homes" after the brunch...
-Cocktails and wine & softer drinks including hot chocolate from Shannon's Cocoa Motion maker for the kids....5 PM- Pavillion
-Pot luck dinner - 6pm Pavillion followed by a little southern music Jammin'. Dancing is allowed.
-(Anyone want to do a "show off your pet" thing on Sunday mid morning say 10:30? Might be fun?? "

Also (in post #254), on Friday night "... a campfire and some hot toddies now that will work!"

Do we need a list to keep track of the Brunch offerings, Potluck dinner offerings, and raffle promises?

I'm good for hash brown casserole and we have a 30-cup coffee maker that we'll bring (along with an extension cord!).

On another note to Reganzo and Franny -- I know that you're considering getting rid of your screens but if you're considering spending much time camping in the south you may want to rethink. I'd hate to see you give them up and then regret it later. Just a thought.

we will bring our griddle and an electric extension cord or two.
I did not bother listing the things people are bringing ti the dinner or brunch as it always seems to work out great.
Besides I don't want to seem too organized! Then we would be just another rally

Well our kids had been promised that we'd take them camping this summer and we have been bad dog parents to them.

So Shadow and Bogey have their camping trip set.

Glen & Julie have confirmed site C-9 for Falluminum.

Looking forward to seeing all the familiar and all the new faces.

See you there.

Thinking a cheese tray would be good for Saturday's cocktail hour. Seeing we recently took a trip to Wisconsin, we may be able to swing that. Hmmmmm......

I gotta get my ducks in a row...LOL!

Anticipation -- the excitement builds. I love it!!!

On another note, hubby and I are planning an Alaskan trip in 2009. Would love to talk with anyone in the group who's had that adventure (or who might be interested in joining us). We'll be in site B5, checking in on Thursday.

And Reganzo and Frannie -- if you're still wanting to loose the screens, we may be interested. I'm told the bugs are REALLY bad in Alaska.

Debbie,

Not only is it screens, there is a room too. It is far too big for me to lug around. I know we are going to areas that are buggy, and I plan picking up a small screen gazebo that takes up far less room. So I am interested in making a deal with interested parties.

Regards,

Reganzo and Franny

D-1 will be available

Burt and I will not be attending so our space of D-1 will be available. If anyone is interested, let me know so when I cancel you can pick it up.

Sorry to miss the gathering. It is always such a nice time and fun to be with all the families, children and pets! A great week-end and we are already looking forward to Springstream 09.

Thanks Alan!!
