NAAH Gas is sooo chealp now! Only 2.41 around here. If it gets under 2.00 I won't know how to act.
Its a small ray of light because my stock funds are down 50%. Yikes.

You're brave. I refuse to look at my portfolio (or should I say what's left of it...).
{sigh}

Hey, how's the fishing been up at the lake up there? Is it mostly bass? Been pretty good?

I only look with one eye open. Its very painful. But I live under God's economy, and trust things will be fine.

heading to the rally
Well Franny and me have been on the road for a couple of weeks trying to get our sea legs so to speak. Our first day in Virginia Beach found us dealing with a broken pipe that flooded our trailer, and the closet pole that pulled out of the wall of the closet dumping our clothes on the floor. After dealing with that we realized that we brought too much stuff, even after getting rid of a lot unneeded items. One of the items I brought is a screen room that attaches to the awning with wooden poles, and I realize that I am not going to use it, and it is taking up valuable space on my truck that I could put to better use. Is there going to be any kind of swap/sales table at the rally?
Franny and me are looking forward to catching up with you all, and to rub elbows with Streamers. So far we have been the only Airstream at the four campgrounds we have stayed in. I think being in a campground with other Airstreams will do us some good...
See you all soon,
Regards,
Reganzo & Franny

Sorry to hear about your water problems -- hopefully the fix was not too painful.
We look forward to seeing you and hearing about your travel adventures!

We know the lonely feeling of being the single airstream in a sea of Mohos and SOBs. It wasn't until a stay in Columbus MS (DeWayne Hayes Recreation area) did we see other airstreamers and feel really "speshul."
Here's to trouble-free travels for the rest of your journey, R & F!
I've got a few wonders for the swap/giveaway, too! Great idea!
Alan, I couldn't help but think of our posts yesterday when reading this comic from one of my favorite bloggers (yes, a cat!). It's worth a look-see...A different perspective.
We have freeze warnings for Tuesday/Wednesday. Gotta head down to the storage place and do some freeze-prevention work on our plumbing. Hubby's going to blow the water out of our lines today (LOL!). I wish it were going to be freezing during the weekend. Then we'd have no issues since we'd be in it. Oh well...
Let's make it a good week... Falluminum will be here before we know it!

We usually offer the opportunity to sell or swap or give away useful stuff, but don't often get too much participation. I suggest if you have some things to bring them to the Sat morn brunch ( 10 am) and folks can see them there.
At the brunch also we will give out the little Falluminum signs you hang out if you want to open up your trailer for viewing during the tour to follow... As well as raffle tix for the dinner giveaways.

Anyone have any ideas on open sites in the general area everyone is in? I'll be traveling the next 3 days up to WHOI and won't be able to call. Also, is there an updated map - please. We will try to make this one - been having to wait until the last minute because of work - and still more work..........

Someone had a cool raffle item - a book on backing up trailers. I can't remember who it was, or where they put it, or why they can't find it, but I'm sure over the next two weeks they'll find it, put it in the trailer and place sticky notes all over the trailer pointing to it. Simple enough...

The 10 day forecast from TWC shows cold for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. The extended forecast thru Wednesday Nov 5th, shows lows in the mid 30's and highs to be mid 60's. Scattered showers are forecast Mon Nov 3rd-Wed 5th. I am hoping for a great weekend for our rally.

I have a leaky brake cylinder to replace on our Travelette. Had a little smoke coming from the brake drum on Saturday night.
Wouldn't you know, to replace that thing I have to pull the axle shaft too?
Ah... the sound of freedom is a wrench in motion.

Boy oh Boy this is gonna be great...........This little cold snap along with the moisture ought to have the leaves JUST RIGHT. As we look across the lake in the morning we should see an orange and golden glow coming off of those hills..........FANTASTIC vision from God's brush.............
For me, a couple of hours of high 20's is not some reason to rush around and drain the plumbing...........A day yes; but surely not just for a frost warning.
Anyway, gonna be crisp there in the morning of the brunch. Sippin that good hot coffee, absorbing the aroma of that sizzling bacon, and watchin that pancake batter bubblin on the grill waiting to be turned and devoured by the folks that are so wonderful.................
Do we have a griddle lined up??...............Anybody got a griddle that will fit on a Coleman 2 burner??????...............Bringing my power cord to run over to the closest campsight as just in case for the breaker limitations.
God bless us in our travels and preparations...............Dennis

Sorry to hear about your extra work needed. However, I gather that you are kinda' used to it.
My door handle broke, and Sue couldn't open the door. I guess I'm calling Inland RV for a replacement... have to modify the opening too.
I could just use a bungee cord to hold the door though...
Just a note for those who know us, we had to put Buffett down 9/15/08. It was a terrible day. Cancer had decimated his muscles and he was falling and couldn't get up.
We have added a mutt Golden/Lab puppy (Roger) to our stable though.

So sorry to hear about Buffett. I know it hurts, but he is better off for having loving parents like you.

So sorry to hear about your fur kid. It really hurts when you have to let them go. Hope the new one will fill the void in time.
