We are bringing Thor and will bring some firewood, but we will have a pretty full truck. If others can bring just a few sticks of firewood that might be nice. Not sure if this would be appropriate or not, but on Saturday night we could bring Thor to set up somewhere near the pavilion for an after-concert roasting of the musicians.

That sounds like a good idea. Let's see if anyone else chimes in and we can get a sense of whether it makes sense to have fire near the pavilion or at somebody's campsite.
Be sure to use less gasoline than the guys in this video.

Our friend we met at TCPC, Alan Kenney pulled in today across the street in site 9 with his beautiful 34 foot AS with slide. He hasn't had Internet so I told him I would rsvp. This is his first Falluminum.

We're packing up the new rig this morning and headed that way. Looks like great weather is upon us. Can't wait to see everyone... Well almost everyone. You know who you are

Ugh! Woke up this morning and steped in water. First thought was that the cat had turned over her bowl in the night. Cleaned it up and got on with preparing to make the short jump up to Hiawasee. Came back in an found more water. Looks like it is coming from the area of the water pump (not using the pump). Felt around and can not find any wet piping or fittings. Guess I have a project when I get there.
I drove up yesterday to check out my site. I am pretty sure that I am going to need some assistance backing in. Crazy layout. Zig zags up hill.

Bummed Out - Bad News for Us, Good for Someone?
Missy and I have killer colds/flu and figure the group would appreciate us not contaminating them with our presence or our potluck contributions, so we are very regrettably not going to attend.
We are in Site F4 arriving on Friday and leaving on Sunday, and have paid the deposit, so if someone else can pay the other half and use the site, great. I just don't want to be charged a no-show or cancellation fee and I seem to remember that they told us to work things out among ourselves.
On the plus side, we are still planning to head that way when we feel better, maybe Sunday or Monday and stop at ToG so if anyone is going there maybe we can participate in the afterparty.
We have been looking forward to this for a long time and appreciate everyone's efforts to make it happen. Maybe next year!
Al
