Bummed Out - Bad News for Us, Good for Someone?

Missy and I have killer colds/flu and figure the group would appreciate us not contaminating them with our presence or our potluck contributions, so we are very regrettably not going to attend.

We are in Site F4 arriving on Friday and leaving on Sunday, and have paid the deposit, so if someone else can pay the other half and use the site, great. I just don't want to be charged a no-show or cancellation fee and I seem to remember that they told us to work things out among ourselves.

On the plus side, we are still planning to head that way when we feel better, maybe Sunday or Monday and stop at ToG so if anyone is going there maybe we can participate in the afterparty.

We have been looking forward to this for a long time and appreciate everyone's efforts to make it happen. Maybe next year!

Al

Sorry to hear you guys are under the weather; Diane and I were looking forward to our first AS neighbors!

Hope you both are better soon. 😷

this is our first Falluminum rally. I am just wondering which pavilion festivities will take place at? Thank you!

My spot is A19. Whoever laid out the spots on this hill was either drunk and/or had never parked a trailer before. My spot required a zig zag and a half gainer to get parked. To top it all off when I went to put my jack down the top end self destructed. The frame and key way is now in about 10 parts. On top of the internal water leak I have developed plus the jack this is becoming an expensive rally. I guess it is just the price of fun.

David and Julie Felver that is a sweet looking VW Bus, I am already thinking we should bring the Airstream instead of our VW so as to not compare them ;-)

Sue, Cheryl and I are here with our dogs, Gus, Penny and Roger. It took me about 8 forward and back moves to line up. Sure gets dark early...

I must have configured my new A/C control card incorrectly, although I was very deliberate about setting the dipswitches as accurately as I could. When I run the furnace, the overhead fan comes on too, unlike before. Not a big problem, but different. When it was hot out, I couldn't get the A/C to come on, although the fan ran as set by the thermostat (also new), so I assumed my ambient sensor was wrong somehow. I'll try to figure it out tomorrow.

Phil

btw, I saw the VW camper come in as I was stopped in the drive removing my bars before trying to make the tight turn to get to F10. Looked to me to be about 1964 or so, and truly gorgeous.

I just went back and looked at the picture. The front and side lights look more like about a '68-'71. Ok, maybe a '72...just guessing.

Any activities at the pavilion will be at the pavilion across from the tennis courts, kind of behind the F and D sections.

And welcome to your first rally!! You picked a good one to boot. Enjoy - this is a very relaxed atmosphere.

Skatiero: Thanks for the rsvp while I sorted out an Internet Explorer issue. I'm catching up on posts this evening. If you see a rather crazy mountain bike circling around, it's me. I agree, some of the sites are close to impossible to settle into with anything longer then 20 feet. Torturous gouges in the asphalt of some sites.

we have never had complaints about the sites except some across the street. You sure you are in the right campground?
