I think so too. Last year we had no.lroblems leaving our camper open while we wandered and looked at everyone elses. To many "outsiders" this time around to do that.... I think because they have the festival going on this weekend they wanted to maximize who stayed here

Karen and I miss being there! I procrastinated too long to make a reservation. I was unsure whether I could get the motorhome into an A slot. We will make our reservations early for the Spring Rally. It looks like great camping weather. The campfires should really feel good! Think about us when ya'll are pickin an grinning!! Love to all, Billy and Karen!

Danielle and I are attending the Texas Country Air rally in Quanah, TX. We're parked in the square adjacent to the courthouse.

Dinner gathering moved to A4-A6 since Pavilions are rented out (not reserved for us, oversight by cg). Plan to bring tables and chairs...and jackets.

Sorry about the mix up with the pavilion. I asked them to hold it when i reserved my site. Then we got here and someone else had my site.
Then the pavilions were rented.
I am not a happy camper. But then again I am glad to be camping and amongst so many fine folks.

So the deal for April is this, I have been asked to organize a vintage camper section at the Atlanta Motorama Custom Car and hot rod and motorcycle show at Atlanta motor speedway. It April 22-23 weekend.
It will be vintage campers set up in the infield for the two days. Expect to have thousands of people come by to look at the campers, and all the vehicles there. It costs $45 for the weekend for the show and electric hookups. I assume there is water but not 100 percent yet.
Final details are still in the works, but registration will be available soon. It already is for general camping and the show, but there will be a specific link for vintage campers to use.
As I am involved with this event, I am not planning Springstream for 2017.
If I do Falluminum it will be at another location nearby, but more accommodating . Can't guarantee just where yet.
Thanks to all who have come to these events and all the friends we have made over the past years.

Alan, in response to an earlier question from you about what happened to our lizzie, my husband was changing our breakers out because ac was tripping. He plugged 30 amp generator up for about 4 hrs, lights on inside, lights went out and would not return. We think probably shot inverter. Replaced a shot fuse, limited electrical knowledge so I guess it's shop time.

We were very disappointed to not be able to make it. Sorry for all the hiccups this year in the event. I would like to suggest while in the area, taking a look at bald mountain campground. We have stayed there for triumph motorcycle rally's. All flat sites.

Look forward to hearing more about the speedway. We have 2 restored vintage Triumphs, might bring them along. Take care, Carol & Chuck

I spoke with the friendly people at Riverbend Campground in Hiawassee. We settled on April 7 2017 weekend for Springstream. I know some of you want to reserve sites and that will be fine.No need to wait until January...
see below first though...

This seems like it will be a great spot and the location is not far from where we have been for 11 years now. It will be the start of our 12th year this next time.

I am hoping "some people" will help out in April with organizing the Pot Luck meals, and the Tour Of Homes. Shannon and I will do the MC thing Saturday evening and we will still provide music. No one should feel obligated to help but it might spread the responsibility around somewhat.

I am also considering a line dance session in the afternoon if anyone is interested in that. We can bring recorded music for this. Chime n if you are interested.

I will talk again with the park on details. Such as what loop they are holding for us, etc. Please hold off on making your reservation until at least next week so I can do that.

I will be posting the dates on the Forums Rally page..

I don't think I've seen any announcement about where Falluminum 2017 will be held. Riverbend is the site for Alan's spring 2017 rally (Springstream).
