Its a beautiful park. The hiking trails take you down to water falls and scenic areas, well worth the effort. Carefully though as there are rocks and steep declines. Been there twice.
The second trip we made hasty exit for the emergency room...

We went last month when everything was still "springy" and a gorgeous green! We loved it. The views were amazing!!

Lol sorry. What I meant was move the entire rally over there. Didn't know if it was an option or not if the campground was suddenly full because of an event or something. But full hook ups are always a huge benefit! Lol

we went to Franklin NC for some camping and touring. Hit Highlands, Cashiers, Dillsboro, and Sylva. Kayaking on the Tukaseegee for 5+ miles and had one mishap where I ended up upside down with kayak full of water on top of me.
No injuries other than some minor scrapes and pride hurt. Just try lifting a water filled 9.5' kayak ....omg. Took assistance from a passerby to get it flipped so the water would drain. Quite an experience.

Great breweries abound; we enjoyed Lazy Hiker, and Sneak E Squirrel... and lots of antiquing, hiking trails and scenic waterfalls.
On the way home we missed our turn and ended up going through Hiawassee. Beautiful day with temps in the low 80s and the lake looked awesome.

Summer is here full on !!

Richie and I may get to come this time! I usually have to miss our fall gathering due to pies flying in my face at my school's Fall Festival. We will call tomorrow to check for open sites. We loved the last Springstream. I've found myself strolling down the shopping aisle singing, "We're camping in the Airstream" to the tune of Taking Care of Biz more than once.

funny I had forgotten about that tune. Hope to have a great weekend once again in the Blue Ridge. Glad folks have been able to snag sites, seems the weekends get harder and harder to book.
Back to school for us in a week here. Glad that for me its only part time...

us too. Way too hot and humid lately. We went twice to NC to camp and enjoyed the cooler temps. Asheville, and Highlands area were terrific. Temps in the 70s and low 80s most days there.

But just thinkó there's folks who spend a fortune on skin care products and health spa saunas to get the same effect we get for free just by stepping outside!

As a former acquaintance of mine always used to say when called upon to make a toast, "Here's to relative humidity. Why breathe your air when you can drink it?!"
