And we appreciate that! I know for my family in particular it wouldn't benefit us to be members with dues. We would just be loosing money. I love that we have this way of getting together and meeting others without having to pay a membership!

Marcia & I just reserved A20 and learned from the ladies at the reservation desk that the Brew & Stew Festival is at the Fairgrounds that Saturday. I might have to cook up a batch of Brunswick Stew in the dutch oven to see if I am competitive, will see. Will be traveling to Fall Alumalina at Cleveland ,SC after the event. Love the mountains in the fall and spring.

Welcome DAVID, we were not aware of that fest planned, but welcome any additional source of brew and stew. The park has a full schedule of events every month. We went to see Three Dog Night there some years ago.

For Fall 2017 we may be involved with Southern Vintage Camping Friends, another great group that supports our style of rally. Their have their annual Fall get together in late October at Jekyll Island, GA. and would like to join with us if I can have ours in late September. I am thinking of Sept 22, but will confer with the campground first as the other group could add quite a few people attending.

Thoughts?

I would say no because that's our anniversary week and we take a big vacation and go out of state. And it's still really hot, and we don't get the beautiful fall colors. We would like to attend but wouldn't be able to if it's late September. Just my two cents for what it's worth!

Well yes, the colors are a a big draw. This is why sites are so hard to get every fall. I am not tied to the idea, just considering. Maybe a new time would work for the SVTF and TCT and all of us. In addition to our Fall and Spring dates.

Campground full

We were signed up for 2014 and had to cancel due to illness. Just tried to get in for this year and the campground is full. Space in Area 1, but that looks too far from the rest of the group. I'll check back periodically, but if anyone has to cancel, please let me know before doing so.

Thanks,

Al

yes we knew that it would be full earlier this year. This camping thing is really get busy.

Being on the other side if the road is not bad. It is directly across, and you can still join in on the activity. Our whole group will be smaller this time due to early reservations from outsiders.
Working on another venue for the future.

we were across the road like 8 years ago or so. Sites are not so level, hookups only water and electric and no pavillion as I recall. It was ok but we prefer the side we have been on.There is alwasy room over there for folks to camp and come over for our activities as they are.

I am looking into a December date and another location closer to ATL for the SVTF group and us.

When we started this thing we went to McKinney Campground on Lake Allatoona, Cloudland Canyon near Chattanooga, Fort Mountain in Chatsworth, and a few other spots before settling on the Mountain Fairgrounds.

I'll be stopping for a couple of nights at Cloudland Canyon State Park on my way back home from Lewisburg in July. Never been there before.
