I would love to jam, I may just sit back and watch for this one and see if I'm up for the challenge. I have a Dean Markley pick up. I also play the bass, but I won't have one with me on the road;-( (I'm more of an intermediate player, so it's nice to have chord sheets... ) If you want female lead or harmony on anything just let me know, I love to sing;-) I play for fun, and I don't want to miss out on my music just because I'm on the road...
This is sounding like more and more fun!!!

Samara,
You can't sit back - you have to join in! The last time I played my drums (before our first jam) was in high school!! We have no shame, but we do have beer.

I think we should do the pumpkin carving again... maybe after the brunch on Saturday morning, I bet the kids will enjoy it, and Shannon will bring her famous hot cocoa machine.
As for decorating the trailers...I vote that to be a personal choice. Especially since I will be decorating my hotel room
Loose schedule
Meet and greet 9:30 Saturday .
Brunch 10 AM.
Carve pumpkins at 11ish
Tour of "homes" at 12:30 ?
Dinner & drinks 5:30
Raffle off donated gift items ( bring something to donate, get a ticket to get something in return)
Music 7 or so until when.

I finally got on the phone and reserved a site: #9 on the other side of the big road.
If anyone has a reservation and is going to cancel, please let me know; I would like to get on the other side.
(BTW, beer does help us sound better, especially if everyone else is drinking! As my bandmate said many years ago at a gig up in Illinois: "The more you drink, the better we sound".)
Looking forward to the rally!

Invitations are always open to all. There is a Springstream that will be decided on the dates during the Falluminum. If you want to give your input in absentia, send Alan a PM and let him know when would be good for you. I'm sure he will take it into consideration as he does with all other's input during the rally.
Hope to see you next year.

Halloween is a week later and it limits attendance, we had it the first week in November, but many did not like the cooler temps. So the weekend before the last of October seems to work.
Spring get togehter works best the second weekend of our Spring Break, and seems to draw a crowd as well.

Here's one for ya, Alan: 1952 Airstream Trailer - Flying Cloud
There will be a bunch of us in MI this weekend for the Detroit-Metro rally, I'm sure there's plenty of "inspectors" that would be willing to have a look at it for you. Although I doubt it needs much inspecting.

First of all, let me know if I missed anyone... secondly, if anyone is in A33 or A35 and wants to swap with Willie or me, let me know! We'd prefer to be side by side.

Just thought we'd let everybody know that Susan and I won't be able to make it to this one. But we have a really good excuse.
Our oldest is expecting fairly close to the rally (actually, mid December) but.....It's twins!!!!! Our first grand-babies and we can't wait.
Y'all have fun and lift a cool one for us!

Florida is also off this year as well. Looks they will be coming to us this year. Going to be an interesting Thanksgiving with 30 or so relatives milling about the house (and Airstream).
Our daughter is a tiny little thing and unfortunately developed type 1 diabetes just after graduating high school. She's handled it very well, but all moms-to-be with diabetes usually have a rough time the last couple of months, so we decided to stick close to home during that time.
Hey, bring the dogs down here and you guys go enjoy the weekend in the cool mountain air. That Ramada Inn is pretty nice I hear. I'm sure Alan and the "Twice A Year Band" can regal you with many stories of rallies of yesteryear.
Seriously, y'all have a great time. And post lots of PICTURES, dangit. We'll enjoy a "virtual" rally thru your stories and posts.
See you in the Spring!
Jim

Congrats Jim and Susan. That will be great for you both.
Looks like we will have maybe 20 or so units. Should be a fun time.

This is our first rally with AS's and we are in Site 20. We have been at TOG for a couple of weeks, I may have to drive up and see if/what kind of problems we may have with our site. A friend told us that 20 could be a challege for a long trailer. Does anybody here have feedback on that site number? Too late to change now just wondering what surprise I might have when we get there. We can't wait.

If you're in A20, you'll be almost at the top of the hill. These sites are are on a pretty good hill. If walking up and down matters. I don't recall that site being very short. In fact, somebody had a 345 in one of the sites around it last fall. I THINK you'll be ok. You'll be camped next to one of my favorite people on the planet, PizzaChop. What a lovely family. Their kids are an absolute joy.
Dang, I wish we could come. Y'all have fun.

Beth and I will be there. Have reservations at Ft Yargo for Friday and Saturday. Lucius and Danielle have an interesting weekend planned. The Redlight Rendezvous will be great. Hope you can join us at the Cafe.

Disturbingly, we are in A36. We are somewhat concerned with our neighbors downstream; we'll just try to make do.
