Head count for Till is 5. Turns out Em is going to tag along. Dug out and cleaned up the old Coleman stove. Working on the lanterns.

Two weeks away from out Fall Rally. According to the Farmers Almanac we should be nearing the peak of Fall colors during the Rally. Down by the river could be nice.

Here the updated list of who's coming.
33 ?
35 Cale and Amy let's play
36 Bruce and Lauren
37 Ted and Lori Till
38 Ken and Marie knunut
39 Mike and Dana Airtandem
43 Al and Sue Irishrider
44 Tom and Sue Tom Nugler
47 Robert and Becky Robert Claus
48 Bill and Penny featherbedder
49 ?
50 Mike and Lynn mayco
? Dyanna and Michael Silverslipper

Since this a first for us after being in Pec for so long I tried to find local things to do during the day.
There is the John Deere Historic site in Dixon and historic Oregon train station and Ogle County Courthouse. Were about 25 miles from Currans orchard in Rockford. There's also Johmamac orchard in Malta 25 Miles to the east. There is a 7 mile bike trail in downtown historic Oregon.
There is Hailey's Winery in Byron with tastings on Friday and Saturday
There are three antiques stores in Oregon. I'll be heading there while the women take their traditional trek to the two Dollar stores in town.
Something you’d like to do? I'm game.

With luck the weather will be as nice during the Rally as its been all this week.

See you soon,
Tom

Dana and I was camped at Rock Cut SP last week-end and there was an Argosy there. We met the couple, Dave and Reese and told them about this rally and they said they would probably come. This might be another attendee. They are from Rochelle.
Look'n good in the neighbor hood.
For those that haven't, please list your dish for Saturday nite. This will give us all a clue as to what is still needed.
I have some wood, but not enough for the week end and wood is $$$$.

White Pines State Park is also nearby with CCC structures and a CCC lodge with a restaurant. Nice walking trails.

As per past I will bring wood, as for historic rr depot I spent to many hrs. there to get excited about it, and in Oregon working, maybe see what they did with depot. There also is a very good rest. on west side of river on waters edge about 2 miles up river. If any wants to fish Rock river is very good with lots of parking along road as road is aprox. 50 feet from river. Dollar store so so no bargains. much history in area. Bill

Just reserved site #16. Susan & Greg Horodeck
Two will be attending the pot luck. Still deciding what to bring

We are new at this (30 days into our first trailer), so am looking for guidance as to how much food to bring to the potluck.

Susan & Greg; WELCOME ABOARD looking forward to meeting you.
In answer to your question, we use a rule of 6 for how much food to bring for a potluck, otherwise there is too much leftover.

In looking at the posting, I notice the dates as October 10, 11 & 12 which is Friday , Saturday and Sunday with Monday being Columbus day. Some have indicted that they are going in on Thursday and stay till Monday; So, if interested in making a longer stay, we will be there.

Next week at this time some of us will be beginning the rally and getting ready for the rest to arrive. Appears that this will be the largest rally we have had so far and there is time for more to join us.
See you all there and be safe.

We are excited and cannot wait. Our son is 4 and would love some playmates if there is anyone out there thinking of coming. The weather looks to be warming up for the weekend. A possible trailer tour social Friday evening would be a fun way to get to know everyone.

Just one week from the Fall Rally.
The last look at the Weather Channel's 10 Day outlook is improving. The rain has been taken out and a bit of sun added. Friday night is forecast to be the coolest. We all know the predictions are not the most accurate, so plan ahead.
At any rate the cool weather this weekend could make the foliage pop with colors next weekend.

Here's the updated list of who's coming.

16 Susan & Greg greghoro
35 Cale and Amy let's play
37 Ted and Lori Till
38 Ken and Marie knunut
39 Mike and Dana Airtandem
43 Al and Sue Irishrider
44 Tom and Sue Tom Nugler
46 Dyanna and Michael Silverslipper
47 Robert and Becky Robert Claus
48 Bill and Penny featherbedder
49 Bruce and Lauren
50 Mike and Lynn mayco

There may be a few non Airstream trailers coming in as well. Reserve America is not taking reservations past Oct 1 but last time I checked there were 4 sites left in the loop and more close by.
Anyone still thinking about dropping in should be able to find a place to set up for an overnight stay. Or if you want just come by and say HI.
Cale. We like the trailer tour meet and greet idea for Friday.
We'll be out Thursday morning and leaving Monday afternoon.

See you all soon,
Tom

This is going to be a "real life survivor episode"; or freezing your A$($) off. A hot drink will be the choice this week end. I'll bring the "camp" coffee pot as it looks like we will need it..
The "known" count now is 30.
