Fall Rally 2019
Hello everybody, well it’s on. We have a fall camp out scheduled for October 11 October 12 October 13, 2019 we are going to Johnson-Sauk Trail State recreation area. The address is 28616 Sauk Trail Rd., Keewanee, IL 61443. Their direct phone number is area code 309 853-2425. The area of the park where we are reserving is sites numbers 3 through site 16 currently there are 13 sites available in addition, if we have more units there about 10 more sites available on the next loop over. The cost is $20 per night and they have 30 amp electrical service at each site. The park does have water just like Moraine View and they do have a dumpsite like Moraine View. There are things to do nearby, there is the Ryan Round Barn and the Francis Ppark historical house. There is much hiking available and I’ve heard that the campground is beautiful. Haley and I have booked site 10. Reservations can be made through reserve America. The staff at the park recommends that we book immediately because of the fall colors the park will fill up. Just booked site 14 ar.Thur. 10 leave Mon 14. Don't no if Allan will have transplant by Oct. if has Penny will come, in not I will be solo again. Penny said hello to all & thks. for concerns for Allan. Bill

Booked 39. There are more sites available on that loop. The other area is very pretty in the tall trees but those sites are smaller. And last October there were a lot of things (walnuts and hedge balls) falling from trees over there.

Got 08 reserved for the fall (assuming the balloon fest doesn't pan out... If it does, we'll post the cancellation).

Man, the trip back home from Moraine View today was brutal! "Wind" (and that's a nice term for what we experienced), then sitting at a dead standstill on I-44 for an hour-ten while they mopped up a wreck. Sheesh! Now I remember why we usually split the trip into 2 days! Missed dog class but made it home while still daylight. 2" of rain in the gauge but everything still standing! Plenty of green to mow tomorrow...

Great times seeing everyone again! This is always such a special reunion for us. And thanks for tolerating Charlie! He's a work in progress, but there's plenty of potential in there... somewhere. [emoji13]

Still uncertain if Penny will be able to come or I will be solo again, as many no our oldest son Allan went on liver transplant list in Feb. [up to 5 yr. wait for liver] was called 7 times as back up then called Sun Aug. 18 primary liver bad, then Mon 19th another bad liver, Tues. Aug 20 perfect liver 14hr. surgery kidneys failed 4hrs dyalis then 2hrs again worked, then 8 days in intensive care now moved to Medium care hospital. His spirits have improved vastly, large load and stress off Penny. Then I was in hospital 4 days last week with E-coli infection, caused kidney prob. extreme pain and stress caused prob. w/heart, feel better. We 3 are enjoying the green color of grass instead of black side, also Penny had hip replacement in Feb. Bill
