So envious - I want to be at Kelly's too!! It looks fabulous, and a perfect setting.
We actually had 6 hours of rain here in St. Louis, not a deluge, but a nice steady rain. It was good and the trailer is dry.
Great ideas on tweaking the schedule - you guys are thinking of everything. The boat looks awesome - HUGE!
STEVE - weird note - I cannot get the new schedule to open on my pc (windows) - but I can get it to open on the MAC... I don't know if anyone else if having problems.

See you Wednesday!

Hi Tina -- The file opened ok for me on my laptop PC in Windows.
We can see the weather/wind indicators for our cruise days and the waves should be just fine. If you like boats and boat riding at all, this will be a trip you won't want to miss. How many people can say they have cruised UNDER the Mackinac Bridge? Get your name on the list and reserve a spot. We've got some fishing opportunities left and so if you want to try salmon fishing and have never fished before, go ahead and sign on! These fish are fighters and you'll have a whale of a good time reeling 'em in. Go for it.
Updated Boat Schedule WITH CHANGES ** Please Review ** THERE ARE CHANGES **PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
Each day I will post an updated boating reservations list. There are a lot of folks who will be signing up for the cruises and fishing at registration at the campground. This is the pre-registration list so far. FYI: Boat sleeps 4, has a full kitchen and head (bathroom.)
Keep the Private Messages coming! Need all names in your party, your phone, your email, your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices. Thank you!

We couldn't get the projector so I scratched the NBC Olympics Coverage from the schedule.
Bummer. That was a highlight that we were really looking forward to. I have a projector that we use for showing movies for the kids at home. I've never worked up the gumption to try to take it camping with us, but if a few people can give me some pointers on how to do this outdoors, I'd be willing to give it a try. I assume I still need my TV nearby (tuner)? Outdoors, the sound from the projector surely would need external amplification, but I think I can cover that one. What about a surface? I've heard talk of showing on the side of an Airstream, but have never seen it done. Doesn't the curvature and interruptions (windows, doors, vents) mess up the picture? The projector screen I use for the kids is maybe 3 ft wide, so we would need bigger. I've seen some people use a bedsheet? I think?
Ed to the Rescue! Our donor of the custom made fish filet knife (and my fishing buddy!) Ed has a projector and will bring it. We'll be setting it up on the fly and keeping our fingers crossed. After checking out the connections, we should be good to go. Thanks WineStream for your offer and you were right, we are hoping to broadcast on the side of an Airstream. Steve has done it before and we just hope that it will get dark soon enough so we get a good picture to show up.
Did anyone see the near full moon last night! Can't wait to get the telescopes out there, set up, and see it in all its glory.
Here's a pic of me and Steve, chilling after a successful evening of fishing. We each got three in a matter of an hour, hour and a half of bait casting. We had a little one that his dog, Duncan, had to check out. He also went for an evening dip, just in time to smell like "Wet Dog" for Steve, all night.
Thought I'd share a photo Steve took with a super cool app he has on his phone. My husband is a big game hunter and this is his "Man Cave". Many of the deer were harvested on our farm. The other animals were all taken and the meat was packed out and donated to native communities in either Alaska or British Columbia. No meat was wasted and the animals were taken humanely.

Steve scored a couple of great donations from CanAm for our Pot Luck Raffle when he was getting his hitch work done. It's not too late to bring something for the general raffle table...maybe you work somewhere where you can snag a give-a-way or you have something of universal interest on hand that you can donate. Not a requirement by any means, just a fun raffle so (hopefully) most of us can "win" a little something-something.
The Michigan moon is getting so full already and BEAUTIFUL. Thank you to everyone who is traveling...we have some folks driving over 700 or 800 miles for this rally. I am still pretty new to Airstreaming and now realize that I didn't just buy a trailer; I bought into a lively, welcoming, and warm community. It just doesn't get any better than this. See you in Troll-ville!
Kelly

About 82 and sunny, but it feels hotter. At least not the 102 they have back home!
You guys came all the way from Kansas! How long did it take you, how many miles, and what was your mpg? Did you pass Toto along the way? Can't wait to hear about what Kansas is like. I've never been farther west than Illinois in a car. Flown in and out of AZ, CA and WA and Vegas, but want to learn about our heartland and those tornadoes you are famous for!
Speaking of Vegas, there is a giant casino in St. Ignace, just over the Bridge, for those who like to play the one-armed bandits, craps or blackjack! Me, I'm a Euchre/Cribbage/Canasta/Pinochle kinda girl. Would love to get some games going. Kelly in "The Hen House"
