Kelly
Not that I want to steal that spot, but I've been trying to reach Sandy today with no luck. I left a message for a call back too, but none yet.

That explains a few things. I was surprised when Sandy called me back and said,
"The site is now in your name. You can talk to Kelly for additional information."
I said, "Great, what's my site number?"
Sandy: "You can get that from Kelly"
Me: "Really?!? Shouldn't that come from you?"
Sandy: "No, Kelly will have it"
Me: [dumbfounded] "OK"
I will send the money off by PayPal after I cook some dinner.

What about us non-Airstreams... are we lumped in there too, or are we being given alternate I.D.s for this?

Tina, you keep my on my toes! Very funny!! TinLoaf will be posting the final calendar of events/newsletter this week and I'm working on putting together helpful and memorable rally packets. Can you'se guys tell that I'm so excited I'm turning into a Yooper?

What luck that the Grand Hotel is celebrating its 125th year this summer and our rally coincides with the Bay Harbor Marina Art Festival. Bay Harbor is a do-not-miss-stop on the hit parade. Adam was telling me it is common to see yachts that are at least 50 feet long and many are over 100 feet. He started laughing when he told me there was one guy last year who had a 125+ foot boat with a front crane mounted on it. The crane raised and lowered this guy's "fishing boat"...a Boston Whaler bigger than Adam's 30' Pole Dancer. Then he told me that Kidd Rock offered $12M on a lakefront home there and was turned down by the Bay Harbor Marina Real Estate folks because, as they pointed out, it is listed at 15M and that's its selling price.

I don't get envious too often, but Petoskey and Charlevoix are stunning. It's all eye candy in these harbor towns...take the Historic Tunnel of Trees route to the Bay Harbor Marina and you'll kill two birds with one Petoskey Stone.

FYI: The art fair parking is really convenient to the fair (last year it was free) and it isn't a lot of walking...just a lot of looking (and maybe buying!) Plan to have lunch at one of the outdoor bistros. Here's some pics of the place.

Do we need to make reservations for Grand Hotel buffet lunch?

Thanks for creating and posting the helpful rally schedule.

Do we need to make our own reservations for the Grand Hotel buffet lunch and horse and carriage grounds tour or do we sign up for that with the rally? Laird and I will be going as well as our friends (Ralph and Carol) who are staying in a cabin.

We're looking forward to the rally and enjoying Michigan.

Nancy

Raffle...

Wow - I see a raffle in the schedule - that's great! I love the idea of helping out Adam with his costs AND who doesn't like the chance of winning something for next to nothing .

Could it be opened up to anyone who wanted to donate and item to the raffle? Say...something new, like new, or really neat that's unique...Airstream related, travel related, or trailer related...NO white elephant stuff

The drawing could be during Saturday night's pot-luck. First draw for all the fun stuff, folks pick their favorite prize, then all tickets would be put back for the "big" final two items.

Of course it's all optional... donating and buying tickets - but anyone who wanted to participate could... donated treasures could be brought to the dinner and we'd all "oooh" and "aaah" over everything and buy tickets until it's time to pick the winners.

Just say yes and I'll bring the raffle tickets and the fish bowl AND a groovy prize.

I like the idea of putting other items in the raffle or otherwise having some door prizes. Danielle and I have found some collapsible blue totes that are quite useful. We'd be willing to contribute one to the door prize if there's interest.

Trolling for prizes

LOVE IT. Did I shout it out loud enough? Raffles are fun when there's more stuff to win and, Tina, I love your idea of door prizing the smaller stuff first, then putting all the tickets back into the bowl for the two grand prizes. Lucius, thank you for being the first person to step up to the plate; those totes are cool and VERY useful.

I will throw in two $15 Subway Restaurant gift cards on top of what we already have to keep the ball rolling. Anybody else with a little somethin'-somethin' -- maybe you own a business or work with vendors or have double of something at home?? It would be nice to personal message Tina (Oh2bcarefree) and let her know, otherwise, just bring it and we'll add it to the Troll Booty on Saturday night!

PLEASE...no one feel obligated to participate. This is meant as a fun sideshow kind of thing. No white elephants, though!

Just want everyone to feel comfortable. The only requirement is that you stuff your belly at the Troll Pot Luck dinner!

Thank you Tina for taking the lead on this and Lucius for your contribution. Can't wait till we all step foot in Yooperland.
