We are not going to make it either, gave our site (B004) to LOUDRUFF (hope you have fun across from Big Al)
Wife's father passed away and she isn't up for the rally but we will be on the road up that way. We are going to Louisville, KY where her mom and dad grew up and 60% of her relatives still live to visit them. The sweety that she is though agreed to pull the airstream up instead of staying with them cause she knew I wanted to be streaming ..... so if you see a black 4 door chevy pulling a 25' safari from Georgia give us a wave and a honk. We may run into some of you going up I-75 north from here. We are leaving Wednesday at lunch. Anyway have a great time I was really looking forward to meeting you peeps and seeing all the streamers. Maybe next year we can make it.

have a great rally
Roy B and Debbie from Ga.

Good luck with the delivery. Babies and Airstreams are a good combo.

We'll be arriving by late afternoon Thursday hoping all goes well. Dinner at the lodge is from 5 PM till 8 PM. Some have longer drives than others, so we'll get together with a time to eat after arrival.

OK, I need more aluminum!

Nice campground, I just didn't know the Mountain Highway runs THROUGH the park. I'm not first to blow by Middlebrook campground. The evidence is in the turnout just past the sign. Interestingly, all the speed limit signs in the park are 23mph, not 20 or 25, but 23.

What I've seen in the cloudy mist is beautiful so far. There is a creek behind my site frequented by trout fishermen. One of them may come back for Saturday's open house and bring his wife. We'll make converts of them yet. I've met James, the campground host, who wanted to know if I was with "the Airstream people" and because I was first here, if I was the wagonmaster. I told him the caravan would be continuing over the next three days.

Rollingbubel and Roy B, sorry to hear you won't be here. You both have good reasons.

Silverhobby, dinner sounds great Thursday. The lodge is a drive from the campground and the only WiFi around. I have menus in my hot little hands. Looks like reasonable prices with everything from rib eye to salmon and even fried green tomatoes. Sold!

BTW, Did anyone know this is a dry county? Please, someone throw a few Corona in the cooler for me.

Kevin, if I get to the campground soon enough, and the sister agree, we might just join you for dinner as well.

I leave around 9pm tommarrow! Then to Jackson Center to spend the night, and then off to the rally, cant wait to meet everyone!

Alumatube has graciously offered up her Thursday night reservation since she cannot make it till Friday. We'll be there early on Thursday in her spot, but won't unhitch since we're moving the next day.

Dinner sounds great....can we catch a ride?

Steve

You guys are really making me anxious. If I knew I wouldn't get fired I would head that way tomorrow. RoyB and Rillingbubel we are going to miss you but understand. Your families are in our thoughts and prayers. I doubt we will get there in time to eat at the lodge but I hear the food is really good, enjoy! Does anyone know if there are any road issues we need to be aware of on I-75 or I-64? How about getting around the camp ground? Cramped? Tight turns? Hazards?
