I'm soo bummed out that I can not attend this year. Besides my trailer STILL not being ready, I've been extended on my deployment due to the troop surge. Probably not getting home until late spring time. I'm at least hoping to get my frame fixed and then the floors back in while I'm home and then dragging the beast up to Michigan for my brother-in-law to work on it. Who knows, I may get more done than that, but my schedule for the next year is pretty packed.
Worst of all, I'm going to Thailand within the next two weeks OK, not the worst. It should be a lot of fun helping to build a school building for the locals and maybe even a little R and R at some of the touristy spots.
I'll be keeping an eye on the thread and will definately be watching for pictures.
I wish you all the best this year and hope to see some of you at other rallies throughout the year, with or without my A/S.

Brian we will erect a tent in your honor. Not as nice as yours but only you could put together such an elaborate tent city!

Well, it looks like the original loop is full and we have moved over to the adjoining sections. I am going to call the park manager tomorrow and discuss the long term section to see if it may be available at the time of the rally.
Rhonda, I know this is a long drive for you guys, we are very glad you are coming (especially the kids!!)
Captain Jones, always great to have another Kentuckian.

Wow, in a matter of about 5 days we have pretty much claimed that whole loop. How cool.

looking forward to it
I seem to remember that Papa did a great hands on refrigerator rebuild at last year's rally. What is the technical demo for this year? Shall we bring the tool box?? Of course, we NEVER travel without the tool box! LOL We are looking forward to seeing you! What site did you get?

This year I thinking of I would tow the '68 and see if I couldn't engage the group in a Polishing Party, but if all goes well I will have money instaed of trailer by the time we camp. BTW Bill, I had reserved site #2 which is Handicap assessible and as most of you have figured, the only thing physically challenged about me is the inability to be quiet, soooooo I changed my spot to #4. See ya'll at the Lake

This will be a great rally and would love to see those of you from the first D&B rally again. Wish I could commit and reserve, but too many things are up in the air right now. I'll keep my hopes up and maybe, just maybe . . .
In the mean time, I'm keeping an eye on this thread.

Sugarfoot, I hope things work out, we would love to see you again. Maybe next year you will have "Elvis" ready to bring with you. Any updates on the progress?

Yeah, I need to update the blog. Progress has been slow over the winter holidays. Plus, one surgery and another injury has impacted project manpower. Good things take time and I'm not pushing for a rush job. But sometime this year I'm sure Elvis will be on the road.

The best way to get people to a gathering(polishing party) is free food.

Since this is a Kentucky Rally maybe we should consider traditional KY foods. What would that be...ALE 8, Fried chicken, grits, burgoue (sp?), Bourbon, molasses, ....... that would be one strange potluck!
