I saw the wonderful graphic created for this rally and was reminded to start a thread. As time goes on I am hoping we will have a few converts to this very fun event. It is not cheap, but the cost is well worth the weekend. I have volunteered to be the "host". So hopefully any questions as to how it works or what to expect can be sent my way. There will be no formal events associated with this rally. I will host a happy hour both Friday and Saturday afternoon for anyone that wants to join in. Hopefully some people will bring some good munchies and beverages to share. No obligation, just come and enjoy yourself. We had a tremendous time last year and look forward to doing it again.
Hey Frank, You left out the most important things a news article needs. Who, What, Where, When, and Why.
I get that is is The Crawfish Festival Rally. I understand that it happens sometime in 2009.
Here's the link for the Crawfish Fest.
We had a tremendous time last year and I think it's safe to say that we'll be going to this event for many years to come.
There will be a private concert just for the campers on both Friday and Saturday night and I see that "Bonerama" is one of the bands playing Friday night. (Did you have something to do with that munimula? )
We'll be camping @ Camp Madisonville (all of the campgrounds are "on-site").

I think Frank is just creating a little mystery about this event. I think he plans to slowly introduce clues about the fest over the next several months to build interest.
The man is a marketing genius!
We had planned to go to this, but now have some monetary issues. Good thing I procrastinated on signing up early, I'd have been in deeper poop. I really want to go but will have to hope that next year will be better.
To those that are hesitant: One can have fun with Don and Frank simply watching the grass grow. Imagine having a rollicking concert and good food, too. almost too much fun for a person to bear.

If you can't go, you're gonna hafta let us kidnap David. (BTW everyone, kids 13 and under are FREE.) I told my boy we'd pitch a tent for the two of them and that they could stay up until the music ends. Please reconsider going as a new felony conviction could get me into bigger trouble.
Very nice fellas....
Gary this event is right up your alley. Your coming right?
Kevin this is a good one for you too... Both you guys need to be signing up. I know the price is high, but the rewards are worth it. As Mistral Blue stated this event is so good that I am sure we will be coming for many years.
I will be there an hour before the gates open. My plan is to stake out some real estate so we can all commune together. We also might have some friends in tow that might tent camp.
If we are up there by then in DC, then we will try to make this one. Being from near New Orleans - it will e fun to see how you guys celebrate Mardi Gras. Ha, a New England crawdad boil, should be lots of fun

Mike,
Com on now, I know it is north of the Mason Dixon line, but northern New Jersey is hardly New England.

Kinda like this....
At least that is how "they" did them. And just to prove Don and I were not telling stories about how fun it was....
Our wives tell it all.
