Whoops... I snoozed, I loozed. See y'all at Area 33 though!

And while you're there, see if you can get some pics of the site and amenities and post them here on this thread so other folks can get an idea what we're in for (a good time I'm sure)!

Confined Space rally

Hmmm confined space and no longer than 22 ft.... Why that fits us... or we fit there---22 ft 56 Safari. The problem is the lack of hookups. 56 Air Streams did not come with tanks. What to do?? What to do?
But it is close for us as we are in the I -5 Corridor.

I cheated and put tanks in mine. Gray and black. I've not yet, and may not, put a belly pan back on (it was gone by the time I got the trailer). Sure is nice to have all the amenities and it wasn't that big a deal, it just took some time. Mine are inside but both my buddies have early Fifties 21' Flying Clouds, with Belly Pans, and we'll be hanging tanks under the floors on them this coming winter. They may leave the belly pans off, that is yet to be determined. For us at least had we not installed tanks it would be too limiting as to where we can camp. You might want to consider it at some point - for us it was well worth the effort.

I just want to give a heads up that I'm on a wait list for surgery. That could happen any time between now and who knows when given the overload the health care system in BC is experiencing.

I'm moving onto a new type of drug that could make the travel more do-able and start that this coming Monday.

We really want to make this rally so are reluctant to say we can't until we see how the new month unfolds but thought we should keep you aware.

Thanks,
Barry

Regrettably we are not going to make it. I have some dates for work I need done on the body and the down time required afterward. This run is right smack in the middle of a "restoration" session. We are both very disappointed. Hopefully by next spring I'll be in shape for trips longer than an hour and a bit and we can make some of the rallies and meet everyone.

Barry, I am so sorry to hear this, but I hope everything goes well and that you will be back to camping soon. We will miss seeing you and Donna at this rally!

Thanks Mel. We are sure disappointed.

Deming will be my big trip this year out of Province. The longest I can get health care coverage is 72 hours when in the US but I'm hoping to cheat with Deming as it is soooo close to the border we can be back across in 20 minutes. We shall see. First I have to make sure I can travel by then.

I just know you guys are going to have an outstanding time at the CS rally - which you all deserve, and I sure will be watching for pictures.

Cheers,
Barry

Room for more

Well , based on some cancellations we have room for one more. As yet I have to get up there and do a recon of the site so I am going on the restrictions set forth by the reservation site.

Hi Confined Spacers!

Well.... it looks like we're going to finish this Alaska trip ahead of schedule. We're sitting in Haines, AK, waiting for the ferry to Prince Rupert. Figured we should be home by about Sept 1. Barring any unforseen delays we should be able to make this rally.........if there's room! Can't figure out on the sign-up list if Gerr is taking two spaces or just one. If only one space, I figure there's room for us.

Oh masterful wagonmaster Jonathan.......whadda ya think?

Jim, if they don't have a spot available, I'll give you mine. I hate to drop out of yet another rally this summer, but we just opened our first retail toy store, and we are working our buns off. Things are kind of up in the air as to how available we will be to take off and go rallying, especially just a week before our 'official' grand opening.

I think you should bring a bottle of wine and a crock pot and come on over. And Steph! you cant' drop out you need to take a break. I am sure there is room enough. I got a new generator can't wait to try it out. And beside if you don't come you will miss meeting my new daughter! And the link for the camp has changed courtesy USFS http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/columbia/rec...pgrounds.shtml

Oh my gosh, it doesn't seem like it's been that long since we saw you last!! So does that mean you're all responsible now - no more fireside Johnny Cash serenades?
