I loved being in the NCO corps..(most of the time), but the pay and career field will mean going officer. Don't get me wrong, I will always remember my NCO roots, and apply what I learned in NCOES to get through issues I am confronted with as an officer.

A friend of mine is now a Wobbly One... I must say I have a different respect for the WOs than the other officers, as many of them are from the NCO corps...I wouldn't go as far as saying I respect them differently, but it's sort of that way.

Kevin you got a good site we were in the office when you called you are right across from the gazebo and trail to the river. Note to all we now have 10 confirmed the park will give give us a rally rate and all will be adjusted to the rally fee when check in should be $28 or $30 a night. To all my military comrades last nights operation shows why we are the best trained and justly right in some of the things we do in the world, God Bless the USA and all citizens and guys and gals serving this country enough said

Awesome on Seal Team 6's op last night.

Since we were already billed the 39 for the first night, will they just take that additional off the second night?

yes they are a good group ran across that team few years ago in a joint op in Mogadishu. According to what I understand the discount will be for the next nights and the difference from the first night will also be deducted

Hehe, I tried to book but not having a trailer right now, the web form insists my booking is incomplete. I called them up and they cheerfully told me that I can just register as a visitor for the three days for $15 all in, and hang out with everyone. They don't want me to book a spot without a trailer ("we don't allow camping here")...

So, I'll see you all there! It'll be good to meet people!

Count me in - just reserved site #321. Despite the long drive for me , I booked to arrive on Thursday, June 2 - their check-in is at 1:00, so I'd guess I'll get there shortly thereafter. Anyone else coming in early??

Steve - I'm definately in for a t-shirt. Depending on the quality of the shirts your vendor uses (No "Made in China", if possible, please), I'll definately be in the "Omar The Tentmaker" size range, probably a 3X - NO comment out of your Peanut Section will be welcome.

In honor of Steve & John's birthdays, I'll be bringing something - a cake or pie, plus whatever else is needed for the weekend's nourishment. I look forward to meeting up with you all, even Steve!!

I can't even begin to express the depth of my pride & admiration for the women & men serving in our country's military, putting their very lives at risk every day so that we all can enjoy the very unique freedom that is the United States of America.

Jim

Dave don't worry about the $15.00 we will work around that there is no fee for the rally the park says they charge $5 a day for visitors I never see that happen no worries just get with me its covered. Jim great to have you also looks like we got a lot of silver in that area of the park the tubers will have to have sunglasses on when they float by. oh your right no fun growing up

Well, Pecan Park did not make the reservation correctly so I redid it, they verbally confirmed and they are emailing me new confirmation.

Our site is 324 not 325. Kevin, I'd hate for you to knock on the wrong door! J&C

As much as I would like to arrive early, the 2nd of June is Collin's last day of school and he needs to be there. We also are not allowed to pick up our trailer until the 3rd of June. Being only 45 minutes away though, I may just head up to the rally to throw eggs as a certain arriving Yankee hating Wimberley resident who hates Taco Cabana.

Steve -
1st things 1st - Today of all days, I'm proud to call you & Amy my friends. I am enormously proud of all our men & women in uniform. Enormously Proud!!

I'll be glad to see ya'll anytime ya'll can make it. This red neck don't hate no Yankee Drummers. Just Yankees whut think Taco Cabana is real Mexican food. I thought we'd crossed that bridge when I introduced ya'll to real TexMex at the world famous Mi Tierra?

Taco Whatever is to real TexMex what Mickey D is to real hamburgers. Mediocre is just that, and not acceptable in the land of real TexMex. Period. As for good burgers, may I suggest the Blanco Bowling Club, accompanied by their fresh in-house-made-to-order onion rings. Life's good, cause I live only 11 miles from Blanco!!

Swap the eggs for water balloons & your on brother!! This is gunna be good ole Southern fun. Bring it on, and bring yo lunch city boy, cause it's gonna be an all day affair.
