Glad to hear it. Sam was my delegate since I couldn't come.

Sam was here in Little Rock for many years before he transferred to Austin. He and I go way back. We work together often since Little Rock is in the Austin region.

A long weekend associating with great Airstream'in folks.
Really well behaved, fun-loving young folks for us older folks to enjoy, sweet little kiddos having water balloon fun to remember for a lifetime, barely just enough ice col-burr, just enough great & varied potluck food to sample - and all under those beautiful hundred year old shade giving pee-can trees!!! Life just don't git much better than this past weekend. Thank you all for the giving spirit that was so obvious to all.

I really enjoyed renewing existng friendships, and making new Airstream friends. I look forward to seeing you all again before the summer is over.

I'd bet a case of ice cold Falstaff (or 2) that the SOB croud don't have near as much fun as we Streamer's do.

and the best part is that the San Marcos river didn't flood and wipe all of us away with our trailers! Ok, that wasn't the best part, but was important.

Vaughan - we missed you, but we know you were there in the Airstream Spirit!

Vaughan gave me the "Airstream Idea" a long time ago & nurtured it over the years. Wow - am I glad he did! There is a lot of "pride & tradition" to live up to being a "New Airstreamer"! I am impressed that the Vintage Airstreams just keep on keeping on & some are older than their owners - particularly that little "48".

Steve - Since you brought up the topic, I think a lot of us would really like you (or someone) to follow up on a collection of the recipes of the food that was served both days. I'll be glad to help in any way.

Ken and I both had a blast. It's gonna take days to recover from all the times Lora and I went down the river. Thanks Sean and Steve for putting together such a great event. I hope you do it again.

Sean and Rhondi, We are so sorry we missed this. Please do it again next year (or next month)!.
We have parked Bud for the summer and are doing a bit of refurb. But we will be ready to head out again in a few months. Keep us on your mailing list.

If you missed this rally, you really missed out! What a great time we all had at Pecan Park RV and campground. Sean & Rondi and Steve thanks for putting this one on, great time. Special thanks to Sean for the trips to the river and for me particularly for parking our rig for me. Loved seeing everyone, old friends and making new ones! Hope to see all of you guys at our Christmas Blanco rally the second week in December. More posts to come about our Christmas rally.......

You may not have to wait so long. Many of us have discussed getting together every 2-3 months in Central TX just because we are numerous and not far from each other. As for my birthday..thanks for the thought. I spent it buried in my cardiology book so I can go to ABQ for the restoration rally this weekend.
