Sounds like the Mitch and Sphere kids are about the same in age. Richhog's is bringing his teen, and then Collin, Julia, and Sophia.

We also had another person join us as of this evening, so we are up to 18 trailers now!

Kelly,

I had planned to bring tons of salad since my garden is outproducing what we can harvest and eat here. We grow salad bowl, butter crunch, and red leaf. I have a ton of it to bring. I suppose though that if you really want to...it is okay and I will find something else.

Seriously..I just harvested yesterday!

WOW, Steve, beautiful garden!!!!!! I'll bring a squash casserole with squash from our local farmers market. I love that you are growing your own food. Looks like we will have enough food for an Army. Thanks so much for hosting this!

We have 8 types of heirloom tomatoes, 2 giant rosemary bushes, basil, mint, oregano, chives, dill, parsley, thyme, 3 lettuces, 3 cayenne plants, green onions, and a poblano plant. We planted broccoli and jalapeno by seed but no luck. We eat salad nearly every day, so it was natural for us to plant it. We planted mesculin mix last year, but nearly everything was bitter...no bueno. Our cayennes produced all through winter. I harvested all red cayennes on Wednesday, and now need to harvest again. Does anyone like cayenne chilies? I have a ton I can bring ...same with the rosemary and basil if anyone likes it.

If I had more time over spring break, I would have liked to have planted cucumbers, carrots, and several other chilies like piquins, and bell peppers.

Ok...I am hungry. Time for lunch.

Steve

Plant Broccoli after August 15th as it is a cold weather plant. Won't pick until about late October or early November.

Bruce,

This is what I thought. The clerk at Lowe's told me that these seeds he used were a hybrid that you could plant early. Having never grew it, I gave into the hope. Maybe these seeds will still sprout, if not...I have a ton of them.

Sam,

I have an ice cream maker that can churn 1 gallon of ice cream in about an hour, and then requires 3-4 hours to harden in the freezer. I made watermelon sorbet for Amy on Mother's Day, and can clean the rest out if people want homemade ice cream. I would just need to get a box of rock salt, have an ice supply, and know what type of frozen treat to make.

Glad you and your sister will have some time together. I am happy to see more kids since they always seem to have a good time at rally events. I even got a call from Bruce that he and Roseanne may end up being able to make it. This rally ended up being a pretty good size of people. Unbeknownst to me until the other day, Collin is done with school this Wednesday. I am calling the park to see if I can have my spot on Thursday night, and will drive out after Geek Squad comes to my house if there it is open.

Vanilla would go good with the cobbler or we can pick up a couple of Blue Bells. Your call.
