Kelly,

We were in spot 21 this past rally. Not sure which I will be in next time, but I plan to book shortly.

Steve

Glad ya'll had a large time.

Mary and I really wanted to make this rally for the food, fun, and companionship. Good news is that we have now sold the house in Katy, moved into the Texas Airstream Harbor at Zavalla, and have several leads on a new job....God does work in mysterious ways....thanks for all of the prayers.

Plan to do a lot more camping in the near future.

Hope to see most of you at Blanco this Christmas and other get-togethers in the future.

Keep on 'Streamin -

To those of you working aluminum projects - get it done.

Dennis,

Sorry the H2Oman family couldn't join us this time around. I would really like to make Blanco, but everyone tells me it is booked. You guys have always had it the weekend before I have returned to TX....now I am here and WANT TO GO!

What a great time!

I was a little overwhelmed and intimidated when I saw all of the nice new rigs. But everyone was so welcoming and down to earth.
Thanks for all of the hospitality, information, and advice!
I'll be better prepared next year!

Central Texas Rally

Kevin - Was nice to meet you too. You asked all the right questions & are headed in the right direction on your restoration of your O'Lander. We all look forward to seeing you & your Airstream at next years rally, if not before. Watch the rally section here on the Forums & choose another rally to attend soon.

Our calendar has been full since we left Pecan Park and all our CenTex Airstream Friends last week. San Antonio & Austin have been good visits with family & friends. We were the only AS at the park in San Antonio, but there are 3 of us at Sun Set RV Park on Hamilton Pool Road near Bee Cave west of Austin. I will post pictures later this week after we get back to Little Rock -- so stay tuned.

Thanks!
I still have a lot to learn. I just didn't want to make any dumb mistakes.
At least I know what items I need to look for.

I made one already last week when I just bought a wall furnace that came from a '58 Overlander. Unfortunately it is wider than the hole in my cabinetry. I guess they had the option of a higher BTU unit back then. So the search continues. I'll just be grateful that I have a spare control valve if the correct size unit comes along.

For me this is not a race, but a long complicated FUN journey.

Thanks Kelly,
I'm glad my Airstream found ME! It has been a distraction from my overall plan to get my old home in order, but what a wonderful diversion! I've always aspired to own one, but so I wasn't about to pass it up! Next time we all gather I will be better prepared, and spend more time getting aquanted, and less time fact finding.

And I'll bring my split pea soup for the potluck.

What fun we had! Just booked this morning for site 118 next year (the spot that is closest to the food). I promise that by next year, I'll have my Dutch oven cooking skills perfected.
It was great meeting all of you. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Thanks Steve for putting this together. My Excella is under covered storage now, but I would like to pull it over to the house one weekend and have you come over with your machine and test it for leaks.
Looking forward to seeing you all again!

Warren,

Kudos for stepping up (first I believe), and booking for next year. I have been debating what spot I actually want since the park is pretty much completely open a year from now. Knowing my trailer's AC unit will not survive a direct hit from the constant sun...I must be in the shade. I didn't see anything wrong with your dutch oven skills this year, but they should be even more honed by next May 31st. We can schedule a test sometime this summer if done in the AM since the temp on that roof will be scorching by noon. Covered parking...how I envy you. If the lot owner has any additional covered parking available next month I would love to have a spot to park my Overlander.

Steve

Thanks Shelly, my daughter thought our rally had the best food and your dish was the one she liked the best. I'll pass on the recipe!
