Collin and I are here at the park along with Cap-N-Red. We had a light sprinkle that didn't event last 10 seconds. It was windy earlier, but that has passed.

Kelly, we had a person cancel, were they not supposed to move ye?

Come on everyone and get a move on...the river is looking good.

Jim, you can either commute and visit 2 days, or take the double sized gaucho in the tradewind I am using.

Well, there are 6 trailers and 1 interstate moho here at the park tonight. One trailer are some folks who happened to be here the same weekend last year and were not part of the group. I have invited them to join us for potluck this saturday at 630. If ya'll want a fire, bring some firewood. The perfect spot ti have a fire is the same place we did it last year. We will ask Jim if we can burn on the ground in a ring , or if we are required to have fire elsewhere on the caliche.

Yall hurry up now, lets get this shindig underway.

This is my first time to write on a blog and of course, I am asking 'directions'. I want to get an idea what people are bringing to the covered dish supper. I want to bring okra gumbo, but not if ten others are--can someone lead me to the section where the menu is somewhat compiled? or is there such a thing? thanks, Argosy Annie

O.K. sounds like okra gumbo is a safe bet; that is what I am bringing and maybe something else. Argosy Annie

Big Green egg is loaded in the truck. My secret rub for the pork butts has been mixed and is ready to go. I see the overnight temps might be in the upper sixtes for the next few days. Can't ask for nicer weather this close to summer! We'll be rolling into the campground around 2-3 tomorrow if all goes well.

Ok all,

I know Sams really had his heart set on a trip to Lockhart, but at this point there are very few people that will be here that are set to go. Warren (Pileus) has offered his dutch oven tables up for anyone to use tonight on making their dinner. Since mist plan to eat at the park, it seems that we just do dinner here. I will head to HEB and grab some stuff, and will even grab smores stuff for the kids. Sam, since you will be around visiting family, may I suggest Texas Pride BBQ just east of randolph air force base in san Antonio. There BBQ is unique and a fun place.

Steve, we are good on smore makings. We have a big big of marsh mellows and two flats of chocolate. We also have four airstream approved (read:FANCY!) roasting sticks. I'll also have my big green egg open for grilling if anyone want to drop something into it. Departure in about 1 1/2 hours!

You can tell I'm getting LOTS of work done today.
