it was great

four rigs from the original drowned out san marcos rally were graciously welcomed to the alamo unit rally in fredericksburg. everyone had a great time and us gatecrashers fit in really well. the alamo unit cooked and socialized and the woman spanked us men at baseball. the weather held up and besides one exciting nighttime electrical storm it was really nice and not what many east of us experienced. all in all everything turned out very well and we were very glad we didnt sit home and obsess about the weather.

I received a voice-mail from Pecan Park in which they graciously apologized for any inconvenience and indicated they were rebuilding and expected to be back in business in about 5 weeks.

I hope that's true...but it sounds very optimistic. Best wishes for them. (No mention in the email about refunding the deposit but as far as I'm concerned they can keep it. They'll need it.)

As one of the co-hosts of the Texas Alamo Unit rally, we were way happy to have the drowned out folks join us. Thanks to Kevin & Melissa, Mark & Michael, Jim & Tim, and Rich & Bonnie for joining us. It would not have been the same without you guys. The guys really did stink it up at beanbag baseball. We hope to see you soon, or somewhere down the road. Safe travels to all. Keep the shiny side up!

Ditto what Cannonball said. Anyone with an airstream is welcome at our rallies, just need advance notice. It is so much fun meeting new people and swapping stories.

regarding the pecan park rv

they got totaled with 10' of water. however i found out that this has happened a few times before because they are on the river, and they rebuild and come back because it is in a great location.

A big thank you to the hosts and members of the Alamo Airstream Unit for allowing us to "crash" your rally last weekend in Fredericksburg, TX after being flooded out of San Marcos. You welcomed us with open arms, shared your delicious food with us, then proceeded to embarrass the hell out of us at bean bag baseball. I'm beginning to think it was all a set-up. Kidding aside, it was a great weekend and we look forward to seeing all of you again in our travels. Jim and Tim
