The dates blocked off for our group are Friday July 18 and Sat. July 19. These are the "overnight dates". Personnally, I'm planning on arriving Friday afternoon and staying till probably Sunday dinner.

I guess what happens is that on Sunday the trailer has to be hooked up and moved to the parking lot by 11 unless you want to pay for the additional night.

I'm pretty sure you can reserve Saturday and Sunday under our block though. I would call and ask.

DAN!
Do you have a "head count" as to how many spots are still open?
I might be able to make it but I will not know until I get started on the GM-Spring Hill, TN launch in two weeks.

Officially open? Probably 12! Todays payday, so I'm gonna visa mine in this afternoon. I'm betting the other two will act soon also. Smart rally goers will also want to get in quickly !

Unofficially, sounds like we got three possibles so far. So that leaves 9. IF these sell out quick, Cedar Point MAY add to our block depending on availability.

To be honest, I'm not sure CP is doing much to benefit us other than promising us availability until the May cut off. If we get 12 spots filled before then, Cedar Point will probably add to our count. But I would not expect them to extend the cut off date.

What a great business to be in! I'd love to have the problem of selling out to quick.

Just to give a quick heads up: The "official" cut-off date for our block is May 19. That is not the last day to register, just the last day our spots are garunteed to be available.

I would urge anyone interested, to please consider signing up prior to then!

informal

Hi! I think DanB started this as a way to gather lots of folks in from Ohio and everywhere. It is meant to be an informal forums rally. Cedar Point is a great place to go with family over the summer. If you have not been to this amusement park it is a really awesome place.

Cedar Point Rally Reservation Deadline is Today!

Greetings!

Today is the day that Cedar Point is releasing our block to the public. Please be aware that although you can still make reservations, the campground may be full!

I have been assured that this weekend will sell out!

I hope we can get some more people there. I'm sure we will have a blast.

-DanB

As Previously posted.....

" I've signed off on a contract to hold 12 sites. These are electric only, back in sites. Cost is $64 per night. Park admission is extra. Remember, the pool and beach are free.

If you want one, you must reserve before Monday, May 19. The remaining block will be released at that time.

THIS DATE IS GUARANTEED TO SELL OUT! Thats kinda why I could negotiate a better rate. Cedar Point doesn't need too! If you want to attend, I would stongly consider acting soon.

To reserve, call (419) 627-2106 and use code AIRSTR

Individuals are responsible for all costs."

Just FYI: I talked to reservation today, and spots remain beyond our block.

We're planning an after-hours party Friday & Saturday, and I'm cooking waffles for breakfast!

Everybody is welcome

Wow, I'm surprised that open spots remain beyond your block. I am heading there June 21-23 and my weekend had been sold out for weeks, but I finally got a spot late last week because someone must have cancelled. I ended up with a full hookup "back in" spot because that is what turned up, but I think I may have preferred an electric only site again - at least there is more shade in the "electric only" circle.

No matter how many show up, I'm sure you will have a good time.

I just got back from my trip to Cedar Point. Follow this link for a couple of photo's to get you ready . . .

http://www.airforums.com/forums/580599-post144.html

In the first photo you can see the 400' tall Top Thrill Dragster (zero to 120mph in 4 seconds before shooting straight up toward the sky!), 125' tall Gemini racing coster, and 300' tall Millenium Force. In the second photo, you can also see the top of the 200' tall Magnum XL200 over the top of the trailer. Rode all four multiple times! The last photo shows how close we were to Lake Erie.

The full hookup site WAS worth the extra money - much nicer.

My neice, nephew, brother and I had a blast oiver 2 days - I'm sure you all will, too.

In the Cedar Point campground, besides us, I saw a mid to later 70's 31' Sovereign trailer, and a 1990's square Airstream Motorhome, but didn't get any photo's.

And maybe gas prices are affecting attendence - there were a few open spots in the campground both Saturday and Sunday and the coaster lines seemed to be a little shorter than last year.
