Cape Lookout Rally - Oregon Coast

We planning one last trip this season and think that the eerie mists of the Oregon coast would be just perfect for Halloween weekend. Sign ups: Airstream Forums - Cape Lookout Trick/Treat - OR

If there's enough interest and the weather cooperates, we could do a pot luck or two. Bring yer instruments, best ghost stories and a rain slicker

Oct 29-31. 2010

This sounds great, thanks for posting Janet! I really didn't want to ask for another Friday off so we're planning to leave first thing Sat. and not return home until Monday.

Oh heck, we've already got our Halloween "last camping weekend" reservations for Beachside State Park, between Waldport and Yachats... we live in Springfield so it's quite a bit closer for us -

Would love to make one last trip for the camping year. However we have company coming that weekend. Followed by my birthday present on Nov 1 - double knee replacement. Hopefully by next year I will be fully recovered and will be able to enjoy a couple of rallies with everyone. Have fun, without us. And hoist one up for us also.

Well heck - I'm sorry to hear some can't make it, but it seems that we have a quorum in spite of this. So far it looks like about ten trailers are signed up.

I'd like to propose a pot luck dinner on saturday night. We'll be happy to cook breakfast (eggs and ham) on Sunday for anyone who's interested and awake. Bring your own plate

Hi all, Hoping to find a site and that the work gods smile on me for a day off.

Just wondering about the food plans ? We doing a pot luck ? I have to plan ahead a bit because I will likely have to come home from work and drive directly there.

Cleaned up the trailer a bit and did a couple minor repairs. Should be good to go.

Gary are you going to bring the generator ? They said I could camp in a tent site if I could get the trailer and truck on the pad.

See ya all there

We can bring the generator.

As for meals.... I think you shoudl count on feeding yourself for breakfast and lunch. I vote for potlucks and grillables if the weather cooperates for dinners Friday and Saturday and I volunteer to cook breakfast on Sunday AM.

I'm definitely in for a potluck Saturday night. We'll bring a warm casserole of some sort and perhaps a dessert.

Yes, Potluck for Friday & Sat, and of course something with Tillamook cheese, I'll do a hash brown Casserole for Sat. morning if someone wants to do eggs.
We have no reservations so will try for the first come first served D loop or like Chris, a tent site. I will be going by the campground on Thurs so will check it out.

Hello Janet;
We missed you @ Jackson this month.
Is this event an annual sort of thing?
can't make it this year BUT if it is in fact a annual thing we could pencil it in now for 2011.

Put us down for birthday cake for Saturday's potluck. We are on the road and do not always have internet so we will check in as we can. We are currently in a park in Salem and are scheduled to arrive at Cape Lookout on Friday but may arrive early depending on how things go.

Breakfast and dinner potlucks work for us so we will check in here as we can.

Cheers, Dan

If anyone wants to pitch in for sunday breakfast, some OJ and hot Cinnamon rolls would be great to go with eggs and ham.. Teresa - could you make that hashbrown cassorole for Sunday instead of Saturday?

Gary said on the sign-up list he may come if he gets out of the Dog House! So is Gary out of the "dog house"? What did he do to deserve such severe punishment??

Looks like you both picked a wet weekend to visit the coast.......what's the deal.........are you tired of the dry desert climate??

We'll be bringing brisket for dinner one night, also salad, and will bring some hot mulled wine for all to enjoy!

Janet.....don't forget to throw in our tongs we left with you at Area 33.

Here's a link to one of our own famous Airforums members who will be in our midst this weekend!

Who says Bluegrass and Airstreams don't mix!!

See you this weekend!

Well dang - I'll change my strings in his honor

Garys not in the dog house (at least not mine) especially since he's packing 2 canopies and some sides. I figure we can jam in the rain around a fire dancer once we get tired or cheese tours and spruce geese.

Will look for your tongs.... do they have any special markings? I imagine they got packed in the gray boxes (which I am not planing on bringing). I am totally ready for treat or treating though... and have my shot glass and a few as well all packed and ready to go.

So what's yer costume gonna be and what kinda treats do you expect?
If we buy candy for Halloween......we generally eat most of it ourselves!!
And what's the shot glass represent?? Are you dressed as a bar fly??
