I'll remember to bring some heavy duty tie downs to keep my Airstream from being Airborne. You'd expect eagles to be really really big in Texas.

Maybe we're in

Although some talk went around at Blanco about this park, I've not been visiting the forum enough to see plans were stirring. I haven't seen if sites remain or what the weather is, be we will be checking tomorrow. I see folks have filled the Sat cruise. Maybe I need to bring a canoe.

Just made reservations!

All - my wife and I will be there. Just made reservations for Friday & Saturday night. This is only our second trip since purchasing the trailer in Raleigh, NC and we are looking forward to it. Will be nice to meet some fellow Airstream owners.

Is there a potluck? And if so what can we bring?

Thanks,
Joe

We are now nine, maybe ten!

You bet, there will be a pot luck on Sat evening. Bring your own main dish, and a side to share, and sample whatever's on the table. Grilling around the communal fire pit is usually a problem due to lack of space, but no one gets turned away. This is a non-planned event, so it truly is “pot luck”.

With you, we will be 4 motor homes and 5 (maybe 6) trailers!

Oops!

No communal fire - the fire ban is still in effect.

Guess we'll have to resort to alternative means to combat the chilly breezes.

Still 6 sites available for both Fri and Sat nights.

Canyon of Airstreams

We're in and have one of those 8, now 6 sites. Now I have to figure out what were bringing to the feast. Got a feeling we may be testing the heater this time. How many "veggie"tarians we got this trip? (and does anyone eat beef anymore?)

I will bring the same propane heater that was in the shelter at Blanco for those cold people. Veggies are always good Clay. Jim

We're doing Adkins so Beef is Good! Beer is welll... let's just say that I'm drinking more Miller Lite than I ever did before. (and having dreams about Shiner Bock) We are still planing to come, though our younger son may need help moving to his new apt that weekend. Good news is he has an apartment, bad news is he may need my truck. Mike

Fire Ban

Talked with the park late this afternoon.

They have canceled the fire ban.

Fires in pits will be allowed this weekend!

Unfortunately, no shelters are available.

Wow, what a great group again!!
We also are going to have some very curious visitors from Germany. They are on the way from Florida to Panama in a VW camper bus and they decided to delay their journey to attend our gathering.
After we get settled in, we could decide which site offers the most space for our Sat Pot luck. We will bring an extra table and may be I will find my shelter tent, I used to have many years ago.
It all sounds like great fun, no matter what the weather will be...

Just made a booking for the 2:30 2 1/2 hour tour for Sat. on the Vanishing River Cruise. They added this trip for Sat. and they currently have 80+ openings. 1-800-474-8374 to reserve. Some of you on an earlier boat may want to rebook to the less occupied boat.

I just signed up for the 2:30 cruise also. Glad to see they added another Saturday cruise - I really did not want to take a 4 hour cruise and the dinner cruise would of meant I missed out on the Potluck.
